When is the US going to see BF EVO in the gamestores?

Wonder if I could get Wexford Hobbies to call me when they get them in? I will make the 50+ mile drive after work that day to get'em. (of course will never get to play as I live in a dead gamer county!) Sometimes it sucks to be a gamer...

One of my 'local' stores is about that far away as well.

Keep your eyes peeled on events at Wexford Hobbies. I have been talking to their manager about running a special event in a couple of months...

One morning of the con, my lead agent and I had to share an elevator with a guy in some type of Jedi meets techno elf costume... I lost a wee bit of credibility after having outed myself as a gamer that day.

Then at the coffee bar two guys were going on about their silver weapons requirements, and some guy walked by with a Cthulu hat.

At GenCon I dont mind that... but when you're protecting a 4 star thats not a connection you want.

Alliance's midwest branch, the one our store uses, was closed today due to snow/ice. Hope that doesn't set them back a day.

Group of retailers... clout???????????

hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

I own a HobbyTown USA which is an individually owned franchise location with almost 200 stores and clout with a gaming distributor!?!

We have clout with the big general hobby distributors but there is just not enough organization in gaming distribution for any sort of clout to work.

My weekly at cost orders from GW are in the neighborhood of $800 and they could care less if we are happy or won't run their events because of two week notice being too short to plan a staff commitment.

We don't even do pre-orders as a rule because release dates are so off that it's almost impossible to budget for them. We mostly order from notice that it has become 'in stock' at Alliance.

I did pre-order BFE though (Wave 1 in late NOV early DEC when Alliance and ACD announced in their monthly books) and I'll keep you posted on fill rate when it shows up.

Clout (shakes head while pinching nose bridge)

My FLGS informed me today that Alliance had shipped the BF:Evo ordered, should be arriving on the 19th or 20th. This is west coast US that I'm talking about.

FRP games in California has just shown my preorder as shipped or shipping tomorrow. They also have product up on ebay. Looks like its here!!! :D

Damn holiday on Monday is gonna kill our speedy delivery. Oh well, maybe the local store will be stocked that day. Got my "in transit" notice also. :D

Good luck to all of you who have it or are getting it soon.

One day my plastic will come, then the flat plastic will melt.

:)
