Pc`s vs. vehicles

So I have been looking in the core book for a rule on how you damage vehicles with weapons that are not mounted on other vehicles.
The damages between personal weapons and vehicles don’t match up so how do you convert damages between them?
I understand that the capital ships are simply to big to be damage by so small weapons but what about small craft or some of the smallest space ships?

On page 151 at the bottom they talk about spaceship weapons on smaller target and say something about multiplying the damage by 50 so I figure the reverse might be the case, which would require either a pocket nuke or some kind of man portable artillery going at full auto to even have any chance of punching through spaceship armour...

I'd suspect somehow setting up demoliton charges might work but is there anything about armour piercing weapons in the equipment book they released for Traveller?

You dont convert anything when firing on vehicles. If you fire a ACR at a G carrier, it is very unlikely to penetrate its 25 armour, as the ACR does 3d6 damage. Lesser armoured vehicles could be damaged by an ACR.
Space ships would require either a very large gun to hurt, as any damage is divided by 50, or by the combined fire of multiple FGMPs.

Ah thanks guys, knowing my players I thought it was best to
have a clear answer before we start the game.

I hade to consider it as they have loaded up on some very heavy weapons when they
Made their characters.

Mercenary has rules for ground units shooting up spaceships. In theory, almost any weapon can do some damage if you have enough of the bloody things, but as noted, it's a squad of PGMPs or something similar that provides a meaningful, likely threat (at least to unarmoured civilian ships)

Small Craft use the same rules as spacecraft but of course usually only have one or two structure points each.
