Then there was bats being dropped over Japan. Wasn't just pigeons they had to watch out for.Torpedo pictures...
Having flashbacks of recent and past videos talking about the pigeon guided bombs and the Japanese torpedoes that stuck a person in as navigator and then welded him in.
Yeah, been awhile not sure either. Think they did manage to drop some though.I didn't think the bats made it over... just destroyed the warehouse in the US where they were being developed. But I don't really remember on that one.

Thought that they had done a few tests but guess not. They had hopped they would nest in the buildings and set them on fire.According to Google:
The goal of the project was to drop numerous live Mexican free-tailed bats, each carrying a lightweight incendiary canister, on suitable Japanese target areas. The unusual weapon system was never put into use. Bat-bomb canister later used to house the hibernating bats. May 2, 2021
Well, one domestic test burned down their own warehouse.Thought that they had done a few tests but guess not. They had hopped they would nest in the buildings and set them on fire.
There's a few lesser known projects from WWII that have been mentioned on hear lately. That’s insidious. Thanks for that informative exchange. Had never heard of the project before.

Not recently, but it was in a thread last year.Did anyone mention the Japanese balloon attacks against the west coast? They launched them in Japan and a few hundred made it to the West coast, but didn't do much damage wise.
It's not even known if all of those have been found.Did anyone mention the Japanese balloon attacks against the west coast? They launched them in Japan and a few hundred made it to the West coast, but didn't do much damage wise.
I would argue that if they're also described as fitting 3 to a spaceship-sized launcher, and 12 to a ready magazine, and spaceship weapons being described as massively more destructive than ground-scale - then we don't have a single description, we have several contradictory ones.Yes but the Traveller missile has been described as

in nearly every version of the game.
Actually there is one.
Now, normally I don't really think it's a good idea to keep adding things in obscure publications, but this was my first book for Mongoose, so I'll cut myself some slack. In Spinward Extents, p. 193, there is a nice blue box entitled Murian Pulse Laser Bay. It's a small bay, just pulse, and hasn't been updated to HG'22 standards, so the damage probably ought to be decreased to 4D.
On the other manipulator, I don't see why there shouldn't be bay lasers, both beam and pulse.
That's where they are described as being 50kg.I would argue that if they're also described as fitting 3 to a spaceship-sized launcher, and 12 to a ready magazine, and spaceship weapons being described as massively more destructive than ground-scale - then we don't have a single description, we have several contradictory ones.
