However, at a glance, the shopping rules look cool :)
Certainly not something to introduce every single time someone wants to visit a store, but I can see myself trying to come up with a "treasure hunt" type scenario where characters have limited time and resources to get everything on a shopping list... now I just need to come up with a story so that have a reason to do that.... :D

Something along the lines of "A day in the Strife"? Someone is demanding items or they'll kill an ally/relative, etc of one or more of the PCs??? Add a time limit et voila!

*chuckles*

That would, in fact, be exactly the model I used. The "shopping game" has three levels of granularity: a fast mode for quick resolution, a medium mode for scene generation, and a detailed mode for building sessions around. Unfortunately in the last mode you have to apply your own threat but I trust you can to let your imaginations run wild there.

Yes ,it may have arrived in the UK in Nov. Unfortunately, Australia gets it after them. More precisely the Eastern States get it after them. Perth gets it after the Eastern States sends it over. That is assuming that the main shops over there remember to send any on. As of Friday, nothing.
AAArrgghhh!!

The embarrassing(is that spelt right) things is, my character would only only have a problem with him as a human carrying a weapon. He doesn't leak any emotions,so she won't pick up anything nasty from that. He's always quiet and polite. So as long as he didn't actually threaten her (at which point she'd run- her only response to threats) he would be able to talk to her and find out whatever he wanted. She doesn't know why being "chemically induced", as the Minbari player put it, is a problem. And would quite happily tell him about the drug testsand why she did them (easy work , get free food and shelter) and who did them and where.

OK, if he mentions going and living on Earth, she'd have a panic attack but that happened with the other Psi Cop they ran into.
[ Bad timing for good rolls- The minbari boasts about how well she'll be trained by a P14 and I roll a 20 for putting her sheilds back after the Sleeper drugs wear off. And she gets to say she's been training (counting on fingers) 6 weeks. ]

Yes, the worst person for her to run into (except possibly a large collection squad from Edgars Industries) and she would quite likely be happily sitting talking to him , showing him her writing practice(english).

Back to the original suggestion. Yes, post him over (assuming your time machine works still, did you get the chewing gum out?). I could drop him off at Parliament House and let amuse himself.

Noticed the book advertised on Eastern States site. Told LGS. They emailed other lot who got their order, as well but hadn't sent it on. Express posted mine to me. Finally got it just before New Year.

Very well done books. Lots of information needed. From the jobs to room desciptions. And of course make your own Ancient Artifact.( Shudder - brings back memories of playing Talisman).

You may want to upgrade the amount of money for Independently Wealthy again to about 10,000/mth.
1000 gets quarters in Downbelow, Poor furniture rental ( or for the aesthetically challenged standard furnishings) and a Impoverished or Poor lifestyle. Yes . You too can have Independently Wealthy Lurker.

An apprentice Dockworker working a 40hr week earns 3600/mth.
Data Entry - 2400/mth, Secretarial/Tourist Guide 2800/mth.

Far from having few money worries, the IW can't afford planetary travel without saving for a few months, let alone space travel.

"Suitable" quarters (not in Brown Sector) 500/wk
Furniture rental - Adequate 100/wk
Excellent 500/wk
Lifestyle - Professional 3000/mth
Wealthy 5000/mth
-------------------------
9000/mth - 5400/mth

Far from having few money worries, the IW is in trouble, unles they also have a job.

Characters need to either have a profession or be working for a Large Company or a Government , who provide them with room and board or they will be living in Downbelow.
Working for yourself ,you need to take out a large loan to post your bond to offer professional services. This will also eat into your income.

The station services list was really good, I was wondering about the Education services on station. I didn't know about the cafeteria.

The information in this book icontains a lot of stuff which is basic information needed to run a game. As well as a lot extras to liven things up . (Found the combat shopping rules- hope we never have to use them.)

Again very well done.
