Stunning Victory

Once again, I have courageously participated in a great battle against incalculable odds, and have brightly shone through with ingenious tactics and strategic genius.

Although I had to practically carry my partner, Mr Methos, through the game, we came through, probably due to my superior battle intellect, my incredible cunning, and extrordinary skill. Together, Mr Methos and I defeated the forces of Mr K (known here as Bavo?) and Mr J, and although I think they could have performed a little better, I must admit they put up an almost adequate fight.

Yes, Mr Methos and I played to our fullest, co-captaining a fleet of Minbari, against Mr K and Mr J's Earth fleet. I must admit, I was worried because of all the EA cheese, but I really came through and clearly defeated the EA, with, I guess, a small portion of help from my partner.

Yes, yes, the MInbari overcame incredible odds and beat the EA in the "Battle of the Line" scenario. Perhaps "Hold the Line," whatever.

Okay, okay, it might have been a little stacked against the EA, maybe.

HEH HEH!!!!!!!

Im kidding... great respect for Methos, Mr K, and Mr J.
That is one slanted battle.

Well, it was cold outside, and I think rainy. I was wearing a black "family guy" stewie hoodie that I had gotten from my sister for Xmas. There were a bunch of cookies and stuff that the host had left over from Xmas, and I had several. I was drinking Diet Pepsi, I probably drank 4 liters that night. We had a radio on and I was wearing combat boots.

Well in all honesty the battle of the line scenario and indeed all the EM War scenarios are indeed VERY one sided but then, thats kind of the whole point :P

The thing for the EA is not win but try to lose less badly :P

Seriously though, its a 2-1 scenario. There were 2 of us playing Minbari, and 2 playing Earth. Although we were probably destroying 2-3 of the EA ships a round, the Earthers did manage to at least damage almost all of the Minbari ships, and managed to almost cripple one of them as they scrambled to focus on it.
I dont know much about EA, so I dont even remember what ships they had, but EA didnt get to shoot on round 1. They had 4 or 5 ships with long range slow loading missiles, but didnt want to waste them on a stealth of 6 at over 20 inches. Unfortunately, the Minbari were able to destroy the long range EA ships early with the 25" beams. The Minbari could have sat way in back and just blew the EA away as they moved closer to us.
It was obvious at that point that the EA was going to suffer a horrible defeat, and I could tell that the EA player's moral was low, so I just went ahead and moved my ships within range of the EA, just to get the battle going, it was the lead Minbari ship that I moved well inside the EA range that was almost crippled. I dont think anyone would have had much fun if I didnt move in.
I guess you could say that even if the Minbari are using the most horrible tactics, its pretty much impossible for EA to really pull off any major damage in the scenario.
