Publishers of Non-Gloranthan Adventures and Settings

Otherworld Creations Has a World called Diomin with 2 RQ adventures out, and they are supposedly converting some of their d20 supplements to RQ. I don't know much about the world, but it has been around as a d20 setting since before MRQ.

Ronin Arts has some generic setting RQ supplements that are very good, and have a good sized book coming out soon. See this thread. It will be a city and a 30 ready to run encounters.

Seraphim Gaurd also has a few handy pdf supplements.

To the best of my knowledge that is the third party support to date. Diomin is an actual setting, and I think 30 Nights, 30 Crimes will fit in any standard fantasy world.

Seraphim Guard is working on both a semi-traditional fantasy world as well as a science-fiction/fantasy setting. The first installment of the fantasy setting should be out in a couple of months.

It is probably worth mentioning that Mongoose has a Lankhmar book coming out in January, with a Nehwon sourcebook and a scenario the following month. They have also secured the license to Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion and will be releasing Sourcebooks for both Elric and Hawkmoon. And there is a piratey thing and (seperate) Ninja-ish doohicky in the works.

Not to mention Sci Fi is coming too. So soon there will be lots of options. Hopefully interest in the game can sustain third party publishers, already they are filling some needs for RuneQuest not covered by Mongoose.

Thanks for all of the responses--I'll look into them. I ask because I have a setting I'd like to shop around. I guess you could say that I've been waiting for RQ to go OGL for about 15 years. I'm glad Mongoose picked it up. Avalon Hill dropped the ball. Just my two cents.

Hi All,

The Unspoken Word is looking at developing a line of non-gloranthan specific books for MRQ in the new year. More details to follow after the christmas period. The aim will be that these products COULD be dropped into Glorantha if you wished, but are intended to be accessible to all manner of worlds and roleplayers.

Simon

And Sceaptune Games will be releasing a line of Sourcebooks/Scenarios in the new year based.

Details to follow....

Seraphim Guard's RQ PDFs have been very good so far and are so, so cheap.

The Diomin PDFs that I have seen are OK, but I don't know anything about the world.

Ronin's PDFs are pretty good, dearer than Seraphim Guard's but not dear enough to be excessive.

Having other non-Mongoose supplements can only strengthen the game and it will allow Mongoose to concentrate on a few supplements rather then churning them out by the bucketload.

Oooo!!! Looking forward to this! :D

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. Production slowed down a bit when my entire family (myself included) came down with pneumonia; we've been pretty much sick since October.

Anyway, coming up we've got five unique fantasy monsters, a collection of five new and unique monsters originally created for our "in-house" fantasy world, and elemental options, a collection of four new cults centered around elemental worship (which includes four new spells per cult).

We've also got Advanced Venoms coming up, which is a counterpart to Advanced Diseases.

Finally, we're working on The Grand Duchy of Twillingham, a neat little setting that is the culmination of the plain wrap supplements line, and will tie them all together.

Again, thanks!
Tim.

I have Most the stuff that Ronin arts and Seraphin Guard publishes. Im so far happy with my purchases from all 3. And The unspoken Words maps are nice if you can find them. Even if the scale off( Ok Im one of the people who think official Glorantha to small, and triple the scale all the time)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. We'll be resuming production around the new year with some more RQ Diomin info, plus some generic supplements.

Hyrum.
