Well, the writers just said they did it, so they did it. It's all about what's dramatic, not what's practical according to the conditions in the setting.

Yeah, since the Aslan are all about Territory, it seems odd that the Aslan would glass planets on the regular. Drinax could have been a great Territory for a branch of the Ahroay'if Clan

Hi all, I am interested in running an adventure dealing with a planetary invasion. Do you have suggestions which adventures or source books give background or rules for it? Also what would you recommend for descriptions or settings for high TL surroundings? Any adventures or source material for this? Thanks!

It's not Traveller, but Renegade Legion - Prefect is all about invading a planet. The tech is slightly different, but it's got starships, fighters and grav vehicles. So it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to adapt or glean materials from.

Yes. Prefect. Or Starvation Cheap. Or the WH40k planetary invasion supplement are all non Trav options.
