What I liked about Classic/GDW Traveller artwork was that Mondrian-like minimalism. Did anyone else get something like that?

Just to keep you all updated on TAS Classic, this is the kind of cover we will be posting (logo will change) and you will need to use for Classic Traveller titles. You will be free to change the bar colours and title (obviously), so they are all instantly recognisable.

We are playing around with a template for the interior (which you will not be required to use, but it is there if you want it), and we are also putting together a cover template for existing TAS books that look a bit too close to Classic Traveller - you will not be required to use that template either, but we will need you to change your existing cover to avoid confusion. All comments welcomed!

Looks good. One question: Will it be possible to make CT-TAS covers with artwork on them?

At this time, no - we need to create separation between Classic TAS and the rest, to avoid major confusions...

Beside I don't think it looks right...

Looks fine to me (although the picture of the ship should be downscaled a bit). Then again, the Classic Traveller I grew up with always had illustrated covers like this:
