Ok! I know the drak do something horrible with you if you think than Pepsi is better than coke. But I was refering my question to the legal process.
 
I will check if you have one of those octopus than Molary have tuck in the neck. I know By an inteligent source than the Drak drink Pepsi in the morning. That is the reason they have taht aligator skin.

Coke. If they only have Pepsi I always opt for 'orange drink'.

ANYWAY, I've emailed the person I believe to be the designer of what he calls the 'Nike' class cruiser. Personally I don't like the name due to the current corporate behemoth out there. We'll see what he says - I'm actually not in this to make money but would rather see cool minis being used. The upcoming EA ships for A are "m'eh" at best.
 
In New Scientist a couple of years ago- early 2004?- they published under 'copyleft' a basic formula for a cola. It involved lemon and orange oils, some other stuff, the whole point of 'copyleft' was that it wasn't copyright, it was released into the public domain. Make your own if you really want to.
The model- I like it. It looks sort of streamlined- functional. 'Nike' was one of the titles of Athena, basically it means victory.

Progress continues. Vertical struts added, still thinking about the engines. I'm reaching the point where details may start to hinder mould-making if we go that far. My 'source' will have to update me.

As of yet I've not heard from the Nike creator...and no sign of those Mongoose turrets yet.

Any chance of a shot next to a known ship so we can see the scale and detailing in comparison.. still looking cool and everything just curious to see ;-)
 
I really hope this turns out and we can buy some from you, or mongoose forks out the dough for the rights, cause that thing is sweet!
 
just a thought regarding the diamond mesh - if you use it, don't use it on the armor plates on the sides; it makes it look like a cousin to the Apollo. I can see that some surface detail would be nice, if not surface texture, if you see my meaning. maybe use some wire running aling the top edge, or maybe some patches of texture. Evergreen plastics (which by all appearances you are already familiar with) makes some styrene sheets with regular patterns, you can get square patterns very small.
The surface detail shouldn't be uniform...an irregular shape here, a round one there, etc...

Well I wasn't intending on attaching the mesh if that's what you mean Chern...just using it as a template for painting to create the mesh texture. I intend on testing this technique on another mini or something to see...
 
Well, that's a bit down the road. In fact I'm meeting with my mould maker on Monday so he can see this thing in person.

I've still not heard from the creator of the Nike. Is there a statute of limitations when it comes to seeking consent?!? Shall I consult with a lawyer?
