Nike Class Battlecruiser

Hi,

My Nike arrived yesterday morning very impressed. Very little damage considering the distance travelled and been carried around on my posties trusty old bike. Only the top of one of the fins was snapped off and that was in the bag so no biggie. Will report back when I have had time to assemble.

Cheers for a real winner.

Wow - all units have been sold. If you're interested in purchasing one, please PM me and I'll see what I can do. Minimum cast amount is 10 according to the 'Great Maker'...

As for making it official, I need to draw up some paperwork with my lawyer but we'll see...with three parties involved (in Chicago, Rome and England) hammering out the details could get...complicated.

Anyway, keep those pics coming and let me know if you'd like to order more.

Yeah Luciano - the designer of the Nike - lives there. He actually purchased a model (which I was going to send to him for free but he insisted) but got absolutely mauled on shipping - so I guess it all evened out (almost). Anyone ordering from the Mediterannean will have to work out special financing!!!

WOW, thanks eveyone for your purchases! I hope everyone likes them and I cant wait to see them painted up.
Here is another mini I did for Battlestar Galactica. It is 5 inches long and comes with decals. It was made to be in scale with the Revell Galactica kit.

George

I got mine today. 8) It looks great. I'm looking forward to building and painting it as soon as I finish building my vorlon enhanced EA Hyperion.

I have still no other news of my two nike .
:(

USPS say that the package have been accepted but it didn't leave the post office.

Your item was accepted at 1:00 pm on October 23, 2006 in ROUND LAKE, IL 60073. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

I will wait .

^ Have you ever thought about making a mini of an Eastern Alliance destroyer? I'd kill for one of those!

And what is an  Eastern Alliance destroyer? and a Vorlon enhanced EA Hyperion? That will be the mother of all Hyperion's! :P

BTW: any one have a pic of an Eastern Alliance destroyer

I think maybe he's talking about that Vorlon/Warlock hybrid out on the internet. It would be cool to see done as a full custom sculpt, but it's a one-off ship, so there'd be limited usability.

The Eastern Alliance destroyer was a ship from the original series of Battlestar Galactica, used by the one of the governments of a earth-like planet called Terra.

Given the changes made to the universe in the Re-imagined series I don't expect anything similar to appear there however.

Another ship safely arrived, well almost safely as the main weapon was snapped off. Anyone any suggestions on repairing this? will superglue be sufficient for resin or will it need reinforcing?

(not worked with resin before)

Can't wait to have the time to put this beauty together!

Well done again PTW!

Superglue binds resin together quicker than almost anything I have ever seen (except skin, that is).

It should be sufficient.

I remember that eastern alliance destroyer from TOS of BSG; IIRC it was made from a pretty recognizable fighter kit.

I'm pinning my broken main guns for the Nikes. Its a fragile part though, I'm almost certain its going to snap again some time, but in a different place.
