Nike Class Battlecruiser

Any more word from Matt Sprange on Mongoose interest in the Nike? I'm sure you/they'd make another master if there was :)
Well, there was some initial dialogue...but it then turned into a discussion on Mongoose owning the copyright of the design(s) to be used in the B5 universe versus the creator owning the copyright to his own designs. I took myself out of that big ball of legal red tape. Last I knew, I had forwarded Matt Sprange's thoughts on the copyright to Luciano (creator) about 6 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything so I'm not quite sure what to think...

As for the master mold, Great Maker tells me we've gotten the average number of pulls out of it before it should start to go.

Lastly, no definitive stats have been agreed upon although I'm up for 'poking'' the conversation into the spotlight!

Nothing says you have to have one hatch per missile. Each hatch could cover a cluster of missile tubes. Kind of like the hatches on this ship don't cover just one missile each:

I may still come back to it and add more detail...

Yay, finally got the digital photo's sorted, all of the other images are partly out of focus though.

(The mini got an inquisitive sniff at by a wolfhound in case it was edible between shots, hence the stray white hair.)

No BFG ships were harmed in the upgrading of the model.

Yeah, I looted my old BFG bits for extra turrets (on the 'bridge' areas) and antennae. The forward one was just one of the BFG mast sections, the side ones were cut down chaos mast/array things drilled into the side pod.

A BFG ship might have to be maimed to provide some more turrets for the other Nike. It survived the crossing with only minor injuries. Two of the small grav-fins (top and bottom) were broken.

If you want to see the other photo's. I'll upload them onto my Phototbucket account and pass on the links.

Ah - I didn't notice the side mounted antennae but upon closer inspection...it looks grand. You could use that for an Orion variant (Enhanced EGAD sensor suite)!

Looking forward to your updated photobucket account!

Ooooh, very nice Silvereye! I really like the extra details you've put. You've inspired me to go back to my Nike mini and add little touches of my own!
