But you cant have Varients tourney's. Mind you, saying that, the Drazi have varients in their fleet lists.

The Drazi only have 1 variant (the Strikehawk), and this even has its own different mini than the original ship! TBH I'm not even sure why its called a variant, it should be a different ship really.

I think they ended up with the Xixx (which wasn't a variant in the AoG original design).

Both Drazi & Vree were allowed variants after the first bought of playtesting as they didn't really have viable standalone fleets without.

Unless updated from MGP3385 version of the Tourney list, the Vree have no variants. They have the Xaar, Varrl, Xorr, and Xill. That's it.

Didn`t the Vree Xixx had a seperate miniature as well? I know I have a turretless type of Xorr lying around somewhere in FA scale, don`t know if it existed in the current scale as well

There is a Xixx in FA scale, but there are a few Vree minis in FA that were never in full scale (and a couple supposedly in FA scale that are actually too big for even full scale!)

Why were the variant ships dropped from the tourney list, anyone know?

Balance more than anything, .

It was more down to time constraints, balance can be got right but there wasn't enough time to test that many additional ships

I would have thought confusion was big tournament list concern. No varients means no asking which hyperion is that? WYSIWYG is often a big concern for minitatures games of a competative nature as a mistake in looking at a ship and getting the varient wrong can produce all sorts of arguements.
