Highest TL canon Traveller world?

zero

Heres one for those in the know of canon Traveller worlds, which one has the highest TL?

I know Darrian has TL 16 (I figured they were the most advanced, but apparently there are other TL 16s) and a few more have the same, but are there canon higher TL planets, maybe?

I'd like to know if a canon TL 19+ planet exists in the Traveller maps, if not, whats the highest TL world you know of? :)

I know that one of the coreward Sectors has a TL 17 world. Don't remember coordinates.

It is in Lishun-Sector, and it is Red-Zoned. The TL-17 Androids there replaced their organic masters (killed them all off, is the read-between-the-lines here); the 3rd Imperium has it quarantined offlimits.

The GURPS Traveller canon includes at least one world with a TL of 27+.
More precisely, GURPS Traveller Alien Races 3 includes the Inheritors, a
race which lives in a partially completed Dyson Sphere constructed by the
Ancients. Since according to MegaTraveller any solid Dyson Sphere would
be TL 27, there must have been an Ancient world with that TL.

So is it safe to say that excluding the Ancients and such, on the Traveller Map the OTU pretty much peaks at TL 16? :)

Yes, for worlds that can be visited anyway.

Yes by 1115 or so, there are several worlds in the core of the 3I that are breaking into TL16. Most of these worlds just seemed to have a bit of TL16 tech, certainly nothing to say any world had a solid TL16 economy with all the bumps and wrinkles worked out yet.

That's got to be a nod in the direction of BG  Does kind of highlight problems in interdicting a TL 17 planet when your highest TL is 2 steps below them!

The Secret of the Ancients 6 pt 3 (A Shadow in the Sun) has ancient Technology at "26+ at the core; 23–24 at the fringe systems".

Many, many dreadnoughts?

^ If it did we'd have interstellar space Terminators which...

...actually sounds cool but does also sound like something I think was called VIRUS...

The Inheritors were a Pulver import, along with the Valkyrie, Tezcat, and the Clotho (the GURPS version of the Addaxur, now banished as the MGT Zhodani book presents the previously unpublished GDW Addaxur). I'd have to review the GURPS list again to see if there are others.

I wrote off the Valkyrie immediately (having read the Jack Chalker book they come from) and can safely ignore the Inheritors. I can tolerate the Tezcat, disruptive as they are, and will be transplanting the Clotho out of the Addaxur job.

The TL17 world in Imperial space is Sabmiqys, Antares 2117.

Perhaps someone can help me with this.

On looking through the Darrian subsector of the Spinward Marches, I have come across planets in the nearby vicinity on travellermap.com that where it is normally marked in two letters who owns them; "Da" for Darrian, "As" is Aslan, "Zh" is Zhodani, I have found something I dont know; "Cs". What faction is that?

I treat "na" as not alligned, but "Cs" has me puzzled.

Ah... could be - the one I found was right between the Zhodani and Imperial borders with a dotted line on the border, so I assumed it was a contested system...

Anyhow - if it's Esalin you're talking about, in the Jewell subsector of SM, then it's a joint Zhodani/Imperial planet that acts a bit like Istabul did in the cold war... where you could end up with a meeting of the two powers and a hidden war of spies and counter spies going about their business in the underworld of the planet... even though the natives are happy living together, the visiters from both sides could easily end up being less friendly towards each other...

Cs = Client State

You will sometimes see in mixed sectors a related set of codes to indicate allegiances. Often Cs will default to "Imperial Client State", while Zhodani clients switch to "Zc". The only other major state that encourages Clients is the Hivers, who would be noted as "Hc" (The Hiver worlds are typically "Hv").

Client codes are generally only used for single world clients, as multi-world clients (like those scattered across the rimward half of Far Frontiers sector) will have a polity-wide name that will generate its own two-letter code.

You know he didn't meat the canon for an ATU dude. Stop that silly nonsense!
Don't tell me, tell the people who manage the Traveller Wiki that you
consider it silly nonsense, there is clearly a "yes" under "Canon":
