also look at the products purchased by other people...there are 1/72 Ties and X-wings

Jesus...
Using FineMolds models for a BF:Evo mod is a bit crazy, not talking on the expensive side...

There are cheaper options for that... and even prebuilt and pre painted models that work just fine.

Just goes to show how spoiled we are in countries with high value currencies.

The idea of paying 3400 for a model kit seems ludicrous...

3400, 10000, 1000000. Doesn't matter. It's matter of relative value to your wealth.

If I have 100e and I have to pay 10e it's same as if I had 100000 and had to pay 10000.

YEN is obviously not 1=1 with euro's so what's the problem. 3400 YEN, somewhat less than 30e. Doesn't make difference really.

LMAO guys its 1000 yen is roughly a dollar

Are you sure ratio is not more like 1000=10 dollar? Otherwise non-japanish are ripped off with that product.

Let's see. 3400 YEN(by your ratio 3.4$) or 23$...

23$ vs 3.4$...

Arrgh... Exchange Rates Madness...

The kit costs about €20 + P&P Costs + Import Taxes... and using a FineMolds kit as a gaming table model is still crazy...

There are more adequate options, right out of the box.

These kits are available in the UK already, you do not have to order them rom Japan.

Ian Allen bookshops stock at least some of them, and can probably order the rest for you.

And this means I have to sit down and do aircraft for the Rebels and Imperials doesn't it?

Though admittedly the aircraft (or "crash" phase) in the prequel games I've had was amusing.
When you manage to shoot down a Jedi Starfighter (beating the 4+ invulnerable save for dodging the shots using the force) give a whoop and then it crashs on your dark side adept and sep commando squad, immediately making its points back, you know you're in for an interesting game.

And who says that I don't?

There are other options in models, if the objective is a model for the gaming table.

To use a FineMolds model only for that is a bit of overkill, is a bit of nonsense to use a high quality model kit if that is the target use.

im throwing this out there for those who where doing the SW Bf Evo mod for the game, you dont like it, cry more, you have made your point of "ZOMFG , FINEMOLDS PRODUCTS R 2 GUDE TO USE FOR BF EVO!!!!" i disagree, i think they are perfect, exceptional detail, for a nice price (yes $30 is a nice price to me because i have to pay $20 for a 1/72 scale tank kit in my area), so please drop it.

Who says I don't like it?

Just stated my opinion on other options available.
Other people, in other countries, can have other options that are better suited, price wise or in terms of availability, for the purpose in hand.

the micro machines action fleet are an alternative:

the only problem is that they are rare, and more often than not, expensive.

ok fanaticus what would be some other choices you would suggest as good out of the box models to use???

On the models aspect, check the new Revell ones... they are fast to build, good details, even pre-prepared with a basic paint job that can be improved, definitely following «the spirit» behind the BF:Evo line... halfway between a model kit and a out of the box use.

Some AMT kits?

And still, there are further options.

The Action Fleet models are also another option.
The original models are now somewhat harder to find, but you have several models reissued in the Hasbro Titanium Series line. Usable out of the box.

Some models in the Star Wars Miniatures series?
Also very usable, out of box.

So, there goes... there is a long way before going all the way to use a high end model kit like the FINEMOLD ones.

Yes I understand exchange rates, and the fact that the kit is in reality no more expensive than it would be in my country.

Hence the use of the little word seems prior to the ludicrous...

Spoiled not because we pay less for things but spoiled because we don't have to continuously operate in the quadruple figures for even the cheapest of items...
