What "new" British ships are in OOB?

As per the topic, I was wondering if anyone had a listing of what ships they added t the British fleet for OOB. I won't be able to gt the book for a bit, and I'm trying to determine whether the ships included will let me field a Canadian fleet.

Thanks

As it stands, there were very few "capital" ships in the canadian navy during WWII. You already have the ships available in the current Book to feild a Canadian fleet. Not counting corvettes, Tribal class destroyers and the Uganda (a Fiji class cruiser) is the only ships you can use as it stands. The only other ship would be the Ontario (a Minotaur class cruiser) and that would be in the OOB (presumably). It may be balled up into the Fiji class though cause the Fiji's and the Minotaurs were very similar. You could field a Fiji as the Ontario.

Only having Tribals and the Uganda is actually why I'm asking what's in OOB. The RCN, as subsumed into the larger Commonwealth Navy was primarily an escort and sub-hunting fleet and I wanted to know if the stats were available for me to field the smaller ships (edit: destroyers and the Escort carriers) to do scenarios the Canadians would be involved in, or if I should go for something else when planning which ships I should buy.

Well, flower class Corvettes would be a good bet.

Towns class (US lend lease destroyers) would also be a good gamble as they have been in a S&P supplement. There is a good mix of several classes of destroyers that were transefered from the British.
here is a good link:

You could match them up to the classes of british destroyers. I'm sure that there may be a few of them present.

River Class Frigates could be included... other then that, there really isn't much else.

Perhaps the carreirs Bonaventure and warrior as a late addition.

I generated the stats for them (plus a whole host of other RN and USN escorts) but they didn't make the cut :(

So theres brit and Italian stuff that didnt make the cut, and prob other stuff as well, does this mean there may be another "OOB2" to complete the full list or not ??

if not will the stats be available anywhere, (S&P, DM's site etc ec )

Probably not, they were most likely considered irrelevant cause there were others with the exact same stats... and the Brits had a ton of escorts and the river class is kinda pointless if you have the loche class.

Pointless you may think it is in the "competition" style of game where any choice is allowed, however if you are setting up a historically accurate scenario, you really want the stats for the ships that were involved without having to research it yourself. They could have even gone to the lengths of adding a section at the end of a country list to abstract it and say something like "for river class use the stats for...."

There is actually a fair bit of variation even in the acres of destroyer classes available. There are even some 1945/46 designs that I developed as a counterpoint to the Z Plan ships that didn't make the final edit (including a REALLY scary British light cruiser). I said I'd put all the ship designs that weren't included in OOB on my website. I'm aiming to do that in the next few weeks once I fgure out exactly what I need to put up there :)
