We know there exists 2DD plasma, 3DD fusion, and 2DD kinetic weapons on vehicles. Would it not be logical to simulate the space versions of these?

This would result in 2D plasma turret, 3D fusion turret, and 2D kinetic turrets. Basically, smaller weaker versions of the barbettes...

I am trying to find it now (brain gone blank!) but we have rules for taking vehicle weapons and mounting them in ship turrets... Anyone see those somewhere..?

It is possible to equip a spacecraft with Vehicle scale or even Personal scale weaponry. This is usually done on small craft designed to operate regularly within an atmosphere while engaging ground targets but any spacecraft can use them.

Any weapon with a mass less than 250 kg can be mounted on a spacecraft at a cost of Cr1000 (the cost of the actual weapon is in addition to this). They will draw no Power from the spacecraft, as it is assumed their energy requirements are tiny in comparison to other systems, and nor do they require a hardpoint, but will consume 1 ton. However, up to four such weapons may be mounted for each ton dedicated to them. They will be attached to fixed mounts on any spacecraft of less than 50 tons, and small pop-up turrets operated from a remote station on larger ships.

Weapons of a mass of 250 kg or more will consume an amount of space equal to their mass, to a minimum of 1 ton. They are required to be mounted in turrets (if they mass one ton or less) or fixed mounts and again, will consume no power.
 
While the weapon may do 2D/3D damage etc. it would also be limited to the Vehicle range bands, not the starship range bands. Not sure how effective it would be.
 
In space, not at all - but there may be times when a vehicle weapon will suit a spacecraft's aerospace role perfectly.

And, really, we have to give the option :)

This should be rewritten to:

"They will draw an amount of Power from the spacecraft that is so negligible that it should be treated as 0 for any number of such weapons. They do not require a hardpoint, but consume at least one ton for every 1-4 weapons."
