Suggestions on how to continue

I'm planning to take over running a friends Campaign based after Pirates of Drinax

Thing is all but 1 of The 6 Pcs is dead, Drinax was wiped out and its planets ended up under Imperial Rule. The single surviving Pc sold out Drinax to The Imperium, The Hierate and The Floranni, with The Imperium getting their 7.66 weeks ahead of the rest. He also framed Wrax for his and the other Pcs actions, he is the bastard son of Oleb, but their is no longer A Drinax for him to rule and he is now the sole owner of A Portfolio worth close to Cr 2 Billion that nets around 12.4 million Cr per month before and around 4.93 Billion Cr per month after costs, has cash worth around Cr 3.38 billion in cash, over valuables worth around Cr 838.1 million, a private collection of Traveller Versions of most Pokemon that aren't mythical or legendary or unique worth around Cr 129.8 million and has 81 ships that range from 200 tons to 8,000 tons and desperately need suggestions on how to continue when I take over this campaign. All of which took them around 38.47 years to get

Get them all to roll up new characters. Use by the book generation with no additional tables, one off rolls or any of that other stuff.

So the monthly costs are in the negative billions?

Long game, eh? Fast forward some years; that character's set up somewhere else, but is now enmeshed in the politics of his new home. He is no longer a PC; he is a quest giving NPC, and he needs good lieutenants - likely ones who know about his betrayal, because everyone knows about it. Tyr or Asim might welcome someone like him. No doubt, his old enemies now hunt him, and so he needs other people to go find things and do things on his behalf.

It this player wants to set a goal, like maybe creating a polity somewhere or building up a merchant line, then there's maybe a game to be played here. Though if that game is another repeat of 'get lucky on the Massive Windfall table and inherit a bunch of ships' schtick then I can't see the point.

Otherwise, there is absolutely no point in continuing this. The character is super-rich and powerful, with many big numbers. There is no challenge here.

In fact, there never does seem to be any challenge. Your games appear to consist of rolling on some Epic Table Of Luckyness and watching the portfolio grow.

Seriously... try creating some characters straight out of the rulebook and run an adventure like Mission to Mithril or Flatlined. No battle dress and fusion guns they found because they rolled 12.5 on the Lucky Things I Found table you made up. No army of super-followers. Just some guys struggling along with what's in their pockets.

Yeah - that sounds like a completed campaign.

If you absolutely want to continue, have everyone roll up new characters, and use the previous events as the background. Maybe the players are ex-Imperial officers, who were part of the expedition to crush and conquer the Empire of Drinax, and have now mustered out with the Trojan Reach in chaos.

He needs to learn how to use Sage Line 50 then you turn your campaign into an accountant simulator, that's all.
