Starcraft and Traveller

Mongoose
I have seen several different conversions for the Starcraft games, they being d20 Modern/Future, Mutants and Masterminds and Alternity. However, I have not seen any Traveller conversions for Starcraft. How come?

The Starcraft universe would fit perfectly into the Traveller universe. The Ancients and Xel'Naga being either enemies or they could be the same race. The Imperium could have replaced the UED, while every political body and civilization from the Vargr, Aslan, Hivers, Zhodani, K'Kree, Droynes, and Imperium joining in the war between the Protoss, Terrans, and Zerg.

What do the rest of you think?

A license from Blizzard Entertainment could be quite expensive, provided
that is it available at all and not blocked by the old Wizards of the Coast
license or meanwhile held by someone else. I doubt that Mongoose could
be sure to sell enough copies to make the purchase of the license a profi-
table deal, the Alternity version of the game was not exactly a bestseller.

I'm actually referring to conversions done by players and GMs, not by companies. It would be nice if Mongoose and Blizzard did team up to do a Starcraft tabletop game.

That's what it's all about in the end, ain't it? Good luck to the first joe player/GM that does it. Here's hoping the website lasts more than 4 weeks before the takedown letters rain down.

Not a 'die and paper RPG' but I already have a tabletop game for Starcraft. Unfortunately don't have anyone interested in playing it. You could search for 'Starcraft board game' on youtube and amazon.

If you are looking for a 'die and paper' version of starcraft and trying to do it for yourself, the board game might give you some ideas. The miniatures are poor quality but better than nothing.

The topic of Starcraft in Traveller, as you may know, is already over on the CotI website.
