7. Recoil and heat should be dependent on the actual damage dice, before adjustment.

8. Minus one, and so on, would be disregarded, whereas plus one rounds up to the next dice.

9. Unless, you fractionalize the rounding up, which would probably pay off for really sustained fire.

A. I'm not too clear where the thirty six points for initial threshold comes from in the example.

B. I think I'll just stick to the given values in the table for each receiver.

C. Quick barrel change, like the you have with the detachable magazine, might be interesting.

D. The barrels pop out easily, and you can replace it in a simple action.
 
Saturday Night Specials

Generally, I like to have a gun that's disposable and untraceable, as a back up.

The untraceable part is generally done by role playing and sourcing, while the disposable part is usually picking the cheapest and most common handgun, or Kalashnikov.

This would seem less viable when you're on a Ticket, and you and everyone around you, expect your equipment to work.

So we have the option of low quality, and I'm thinking of incinerating parts, or all of, the gun, instead of just finding the next river.

Or easily corroded metal.
 
The advanced combat rifle is a lost cause.

But I think I can make a competitive alternative to the heavy advanced combat rifle at two kilostarbux, bulky, automatic two and scope.

Fred Flintstone Fusil versus heavy advanced combat rifle isn't quite a fair comparison, nor was it meant to be: it's nineteen times cheaper, but the ammunition is three hundred seventy five percent more expensive.

Which is odd, since two and a half starbux is the default cost of heavy rifle ammunition, which presumably the heavy variant of the advanced combat rifle is firing.

No default recoil, in theory, by either, as longarm absorbs four dice and automatic two, but bulky trait means you need strength characteristic nine in order not to incur penalty.

Presumably bullpuppized, gyroscopically stabilized, flash suppressor/grenade launcher, and electronicized sights. And advanced projectiles.
 
Actually, what you should do is chamber the Fred Flintstone Fusil for the heavy advanced combat rifle ammunition, which resolves the difference in ammunition cost.

Though I wonder if that ammunition is classified as military?

Comparatively, heavy rifle is the better choice to shotgun, no recoil, increased range; also, pellet option.

However, then you have law level six, where the shotgun is the only option; likely, minimum length, and maximum magazine capacity would also be included.

Gyroscopic stabilization and longarm receiver would deal with recoil.

Recoil compensation is ten percent receiver cost, five percent weight, per.

Problem is damage gets reduced by one and three respectively, so for the assault receiver, you're not getting much, or anything, at least in regard to standard smoothbore; also you would retain bulky even with stabilizer.

You can add accurization, high quilization, bullpuppization, and so on, but that will shoot way beyond a kilostarbux.

For people with lots of money, probably it doesn't matter, but becomes a little questionable when you're looking for banging that buck.

When do we actually have breech loading shotguns?

The Browning Auto-5 was the first mass-produced semi-automatic shotgun. Designed by John Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900,[4]

That would be technological level five.
 

The AA-12 (Auto Assault-12), originally designed and known as the Atchisson Assault Shotgun, is an automatic combat shotgun developed in 1972 by Maxwell Atchisson. The most prominent feature is reduced recoil. The current 2005 version has been developed over 18 years since the patent was sold to Military Police Systems, Inc. The original design was the basis of several later weapons, including the USAS-12 combat shotgun. The shotgun fires in fully automatic mode only. However, the relatively low cyclic rate of fire of around 300 rounds per minute enables the shooter to fire semi-automatically de facto with brief trigger pulls. It is fed from either an 8-shell box magazine, or a 20- or 32-shell drum magazine.
 
For the shotgun, the game changer would have to be the gyrostabilizer at technological level nine.

Automatic would probably coincide with the rifle variant, so technological level six.

Gauss variant at technological level twelve is likely military grade, though I think I'll take a shot at a monobarrel and a skeet shooter.
