All jump fuel in permanently mounted drop tanks.
Armament: 2 large particle bays (Accurate, High Yield), 150 triple Particle (Accurate,HiYield) turrets.
Defences: Armour 15, 90 PDBatteries TypeIII, 20 Nuclear Dampers.

All jump fuel in permanently mounted drop tanks, but drop tanks cannot be damaged separately by the combat system, so they cannot be hurt. Free space.

Planetoid hull so almost free armour.

Planetiod hull so extreme amounts of hull points. The same ship in a regular hull is much smaller and GCr 10 cheaper, but has 4400 hull. The planetoid has 20000 hull.

Power plant TL12 with tech upgrades is better than a TL15 power plant. Effectively it has 21.4 points of power per ton and costs 1.5 MCr per ton, instead 20 power per ton and MCr 2 per ton.

Shallow Penetration Suite can see minute detail at Very Long Range, but the sensor system requires a much more expensive Extension Net to see even Limited thermal information and Minimal EM.

"Crit fisher" large bays, much more effective than any spinal mount.

Triple particle turrets, much more effective than any barbette.

Very good AnotherDilbert. A list of genuine balance issues there for discussion.

Been meaning to come back to the planetoid hulls and see what they cost to jump...

The power plant's a good catch, been myopic in my builds to date and haven't looked enough at the lower tech stuff.
 
I see it as an illustrated list of bugs. The beta program is intended to find bugs, to allow the designers to fix them?

Planetoids basically will not jump without drop tanks, the problem is free armour and drop tank abuse.
