Seeking character sheets

Mongoose
My group is getting ready to play MRQII and I am very impressed with the product so far. I am trying to find some really good character sheets for the game though. I downloaded the default ones from Mongoose and found them to be a bit sub par. Has anyone out there made a really good character sheet for this game or could link me to some great ones please? Thanks in advance!

I had stumbled onto that site before coming here but it looked like most of those appeared to be for MRQI to me. I'm looking for MRQII.

Hi Dan,

Are you good with Excel? That would make a great output page for a Runequest character generator.

I'm better with real programming languages - but uses excel in my work - so if I were to make a generator, I probably would make a program that did it instead, and outputted a pdf.
But I probably won't do a generator, as I and my players kinda enjoy rolling dice and scratching stuff down.

That's a shame. I reckon you'd probably do a great one after seeing the work you did on the Eberron conversion. You have a good eye for details and we all know where the devil is...

Thanks, and I may do one at some point - as it's not that much work for a professional programmer. But, I don't really get why people use them. As soon as you need to increase a skill, you need to print out a new sheet or use an erase marker to remove the printed number. Seems hard compared to writing with pencil.

But, probably won't be anytime soon. I'm still regularly working on Eberron, and besides that (and my campaign) I have a Serious & Major Wound table in the work (for more detailed wounds) and am currently trying to decide if I should do to a Pirate Compilation or an Avatar: The Last Airbender conversion, if any of them.

My guys have their laptops at the table and manage their character "on-screen", they don't use a pen and paper version (at least with D&D characters anyway).

Ah, I hate laptops at the gaming table as I find them disturbing (I have my own with me, for playing music - but that's it). But I guess your the generator makes sense for you then :)

I agree, personally I don't like them either. I find they lead to too much distraction. However, myself and one of the other guys that GM tried to insist that laptops not be allowed and the furor from the others!! OMG it was like we asked them to sacrifice their left testicle! They maybe adults, but I question their maturity at times. So we compromised...sort of.

I find them a wonderful tool. To each their own though.

I admit they do have their uses. It can sometimes be quicker to search a PDF, rather than a rulebook. But as you say to each their own.
