Release dates for new books

Do we have any release dates for the new versions of the original gamebooks? What's the release plan - is it one every couple of months? Is JD adding extra content to all of them or just the first one? And what's the deal with the mystical last four (29-32)?

I'm sure now that Mongoose will try to change the release date of September 6th to any other date to avoid giving Amazon the credit of having made the announcement before them.

EUR 11,50!?! Is it just me or...

Apparently some european latin countries use the comma instead of the decimal point.

So that'd be around £8 then. That's a bit expensive isn't it?
I'm from a non-latin European country which just like the likewise non-latin Germany also uses the comma.

But what I referred to was that yes, this is bloody expensive for a gamebook.

I don't get it, since Amazon claims that the RRP is of 6.99£, which should make 10.21 EUR. With the price of Amazon (5.59 £), it should in fact be 8.17 EUR. Perhaps it's because of the extra charges for sending it outside of the UK?

I've just checked with the Canadian dollar: nomally, I was paying the French edition of the books approx. 8$ each, but now, with the new price, it would cost me 12$! Argh! A raise of 50%!

Hi guys,

Amazon has, in the past, been something of a law unto itself. Don't trust anything until you hear it from us directly :)

The German amazon site has a policy of not selling anything that is importat from the UK for a price that would be lower than the price at the UK site. Therefore Amazon isn''t my first choice when going for low price book imports from the UK.

BTW Amazon.de doesn't carry all MGP titles anyway :(

The new Fire on the Water cover looks great (unlike the new Flight From the Dark cover which they needed to tweak a bit to make it look better).

The series kicks off with Flight From the Dark, now weighing in at a massive 450 pages.

450 pages or 450 sections? There's a pretty big difference.

The first of the new Lone Wolf gamebooks will appear in your local book stores in September 2007 - however, hardbound Collector's Copies will be available, only direct from Mongoose Publishing, at the end of July.

Can I reserve a copy now? Preorder?

You can pick and choose which Lone Wolf adventures to join in on as the gamebooks are released every 6-8 weeks. Or you can sign up for one of the greatest fantasy campaigns ever - if you buy every Collector's Edition of the new Lone Wolf gamebooks (whether individually or as part of our Magnamund Mega-deal), you will also be sent, absolutely free, special Collector's Editions of the new Lone Wolf novels, starting with the Agarashi and Lencian Trilogies later this year.

So, no Sommerswerd then? :( Seriously, what happened to that?

Is the Megadeal (wt a whopping £400) for the softback or the hardback versions of the new books as they come out? It'd be good to know (as it'll affect my decision wether to raid my life's savings for four hundred smackers or not).

Hi Balgin,

To answer your questions;

1. It is indeed 450 pages. A lot has been added in Joe's re-write :)
2. We are open for preorders right now (simply click on the preorder button).
3. No Sommerswerd, I am afraid. We wanted something looking very authentic and, in the end, we were not getting the results we had hoped for (a Denn'Bok for a B5 special also fell by the wayside for the same reasons). Instead, we can offer special editions of the new novels for free, to anyone collecting all the game books and, for those taking on the mega-deal, free (refunded) postage and early access to books 29-32.
4. The mega-deal is for hardback collector's editions as they come out (which will be some months before the softbacks appear in stores).

Hope that helps!

Any news on the new RPG version of Lone Wolf?

Is it being written? Has work started? Who's the author? Can we have a ETA? Please :)

Okay that's a bit depressing as I was really looking forward to that (although I may still be raiding my savings for the mega deal).

Is there a time limit for the mega-deal, or will it be available permanently?
I'm extremely tempted by it, but my car has it's MOT due soon, and if (as seems likely) it needs some work done I'll be a bit short of cash for a while afterwards.

I'd really love to buy this immediately but it's a lot of money... :-(

What about
"Your shipping/postage will immediatly be refunded."
for non US residents?
Does this apply for Europeans too? Guess not since the preorder adds shipping costs to the offer... :-(
