Question about Mongoose copyrights on Elric rpg

Mongoose
Hi, I am new to this board.

I learned that Mongoose Publishing acquired the rights for making RPGs based on Michael Moorcock's novels (Elric, etc.). I have a question; I already asked Michael Moorcock on his own forum, but he answered he didn't know and suggested me to ask here.

I wanted to create monsters for OSRIC/LL/etc., that are RPGs clones of old AD&D (produced using the OGL). Among them, I was thinking about creating my own version of creatures found in Elric's saga (such as Mist Giants, Klakars, Dharzi hunting dogs, Myyrhn race, etc.). This would mostly be a fan work, for free on the internet, but maybe with the option of getting a printed version on lulu.com (where the fee would only be the printing and shipping costs from lulu). This wouldn't be a book exclusively about Elric/Moorcock's universe, only that some creature appearing in them would be included.

So my question is about the copyrights. Could I do such a things (creating monsters derived from Moorcock's novels, using the names, but nothing else (no text is copypasted), without infringing on Mongoose's or MM's copyrights? Or is it forbidden? I guess nobody will care about / sue an amateur who works for free, but I nonetheless would like to know.

Thanks.
