Pak'ma'ra Plasma Web

Questions about the Plasma Web ability that Pa'ma'ra ships can do:

1) When the ability is being done by a squadron of ships with boresighted plasma cannons such as the Sunhawk and Warbird, are there any restrictions or rulings about them doing a plasma web since theirs are boresighted instead of forward arc like the rest of the fleet?

2) When measuring to see if the e-mine created by the squadron is within range, how do you handle measuring since the whole squadron is creating the e-mine? Must it be within range of all ships of the squadron or any ships of the squadrons?

1. Two boresighted ships, unless they are both perfectly in line with each other, can only generate a plasma web at one point -- the point where the two boresights intersect. There are no other restrictions.

2. A ship must be within range of the center point of the plasma web. Any ship out of range cannot contribute.

Also note that it has been mentioned that aiding the construction of a plasma web takes up all the firepower of the weapon line so used. You can contriubute fewer dice than your maximum if you wish, however.

Another question, if a squadron of pak'ma'ra ships creates a plasma web, could the player, after the AD of the plasma cannon have been halved, split up his remaining AD and halve those to create multiple plasma webs or are they allowed to make just one web total for each weapon group of plasma cannons firing in the squdron?

one web for each weapon, no using 2AD here and 2AD there to wipe out all enemy fighters.
