A thought crossed my mind.
At the moment large ships (higher hulls) are harder to hit as well as mounting more powerful weapons. I wondered about reversing this to make smaller ships harder to hit instead.
In the RAW your attack die has to equal or exceed a ship’s hull score to hit, then you roll for bulkhead/solid/critical hit.
Was just pondering the following change:
To hit: roll hull value or lower (reversing the current ease of hitting), a one on this roll is always a critical (thus eliminating a step in the attack process)
Just wondered what people’s thoughts were
Edit: Actually I just realised on obvious fault, 1 in 6 hits are critical no matter what size ship you're firing at
