Oh dear. The wiki seems to have died.

And be MRQ1...
It's true that all the MRQ1 info is still there, but there is MRQ2 stuff as well. Not the full text, as that's not OGL, but there is some fan written stuff and some game aids.

Maybe we need some pledges from forum readers to populate certain areas?

More adventures??

Getting the wiki back online would be a good first step, I've sent Halfbat a pm to see if he knows how to get it fixed.

I'd be happy to help keep it alive - although I really have no idea what kind of work a wiki takes - as long as I don't do it alone.

I am fed up with deleting spam. I have therefore blocked all edits that contain external links. If you want to link to external content, let me know and I can whitelist the domain that you are linking to. In the mean time you can leave the URL as plain text and I will make it a link when I whitelist it.

I have gone through the most obvious pages that have external links in them. Let me know if I missed any, you will not be able to edit the article while leaving the link in. You should be able to edit a section that doesn't contain a link though.

I'd be willing to help out with the mrq wiki if it's still needed.
At least from an Elric MRQ2 perspective.
"Help out" in what way? Site maintenance, or contributing material? Maintenance is under control now that spam is blocked, what the wiki needs is content. I'll have a think and see what structure would be appropriate for the various settings.

Well I'm not sure in what way.
But since I'm going to be running Elric soon, I'll probably have material to put on there, such as small scenarios and stuff.

What sort of content do you want help putting on there?

I don't have a shopping list of content, I'm not really trying to drive the wiki in any particular direction in that respect.

If I were forced to make a list, I'd put in cults, grimoires, spirits, creatures, and pre-generated characters.

And I take it based on our other discussion nothing that actually touches on the mechanics of MRQ2 is to be put on there?
I.E. only Young Kingdoms background content only, not game mechanics?

No-one has objected to discussion of house rules, or the quoting of small sections of the game rules for the purposes of discussing problems.

OK well when I have something to actually put on I'll be in touch and ask about how to actually put content on there.
I've used Wiki software before (I use mediawiki on my site), but will you need to set me up with a User ID or something?

No, anyone can create an account, doesn't need to be verified. That's why I had problems with spam before I solved it by preventing links in articles. No point spamming if you can't include links to your product.

Is anyone willing to volunteer to populate the chapter lists from the non-Gloranthan settings such as Deus Vult, Wraith Recon, and Clockwork & Chivalry in the wiki? Currently there are only sections and pages for the books that I have, which are the core books and the Gloranthan books. If they are there on the front page, it might encourage people to contribute. Speaking of which, there hasn't been a lot of contribution to the wiki lately... hint hint...

The framework at the moment is a list of links to articles based on the chapter contents e.g. Character Creation, Magic, Creatures, etc. so someone would have to create these section headings based on the book layout which I don't have.

so you'd want another section after "MRQ2 Glorantha" called "MRQ2 Elric" with all the sections of the book (Chapters) indexed much like the way the MRQ2 Glorantha book has been indexed on the wiki?
