Macedonia campaign setting???

just a thought...how would a campaign setting set in Macedonia sound for Ancients and what time period would be good????

How about the time period from Phillip of Macedon through the time of Alexander to after the empire's breakup from the successors.

You won't be able to find much information on Macedonia before Philip II anyhow. The Greek historians didn't pay too much attention to them before that time.

My main point in all of this would be to take the basic historical points and what the technological level would be for the most part, etc then have fun with it. That way down the line people would not say "well you see that certain item was not around till...or that wouldn't have happened because.... it would be FUN and FICTIONAL. Not historically accurate.
