Probably lots cheaper than grav plates, so no reason why you couldn't add a small per dton cost (Cr5000? - pulled out of a... lower orifice) for inductive charging everywhere. Pretty sure every ship would have this. Super cheap and allows you to power all of your devices without ever having to plug them in.
