Love for the Aliens

I just want to know what happened to the Ka'Bin'Tak and G'Vrahn for now. If their molds collapsed I hope that we'll see the new ships at a smaller size rather than being bigatures.

However, all is not lost if you are an alien. We are an equal opportunities ship yard so, as a sneak peek, expect to see in 2007;

Two new races - the pak'ma'ra and Gaim. And the Gaim will be like nothing you have seen yet. . .

looking forward to seeing the pak'mar'ra already - next month.. cool :D and if the gaim are gonna be something completely new...extra cool

The Psi Corps/Covert EA (okay, not technically alien).
The Technomage Pinnace (almost alien).

Psi Corp will be interesting as a dodgy EA force which can be used along side the EA forces.

Technomage Pinnance - I suspect will have uber stealth but can't see it have a lot in the way of firepower

Drakh Mothership (already on its way to the office, I am told, along with the new Vree Z'Takk).
Drakh Patrol Cruiser.

Glad to hear that the Drakh are going to get their mothership and and additional ships - hope the Dilgar get something too.. they could do with some new ships even if they are technically a dead race....

Vree Xorth and Zonn.
Breaching Pods for everybody!
Drazi Firehawk.
Abbai Juyaca.
More Brakiri than you can shake a dead Llort at!

Excellent stuff here... new Vreee ships, hope one is going to a carrier for theose cool Tzymm fighters.
Braching pods, are these going to be generic or will each race have a separate model??
Drazi Firehawk - cool, please make it a raid priorty ship.. something to pick instead of the solarhawk..
Abbai Juyaca, great news, can't wait to see the Abbai Dreadnought :) How about the Lyata Police Cutter and the Skiatha Escort Scout??
More Brakiri..always good - we gonna see the dreadnought, Antoph Scout Crusier and heavy fighter??

_If_ we get time, we are also going to start work on alien transport/civilian vessels (space stations slated for 2008 at the moment).

Would be nice to see the big races have their own race specific transports instead of the ugly human transports

The ISA and EA get some more love too. Naturally. The evolution of the Thunderbolt, the Blue Star, Ranger frigates. We'll also be doing some 'one offs' that won't necessarily have a fleet list but can be used in special games - Hurr Gunships, Lumati Transports, Ipsha War Globes, and so forth. If any prove popular, we'll consider them fleet list material in the future.

Evolution of the thunderbolt..so another EA fighter....
Blue Star and Ranger frigates...could these be ISA patrol and skirmish choices at last??

However, the one offs sounmd great.. Hurr Gunships 8) and those cool Ispha War Globes :D looking forward to those already

Also I think it would be wise to produce counter sets for everything too .. after all there a lot ships out their even now without corresponding counters..please remember some people can't afford minatures all the time or even prefer to play with counters. An armaggedon sheet would be a good idea for a start along with the new ships from Signs and Portents ( i.e T'Rakk, Tiger Starfury, Pak'ma'ra etc )

Well having read a bit about them (at least, Mongooses take on them) in the RPG sourcebooks Id have to say you be for a surprise on firepower. Im expecting them to be War or Battle level, with traits and weaponry that can change from turn to turn depending what 'spells' it uses

As a Centauri Representative I feel left out.
However I am secretly giddy at the prospect of new stuff. I'll drown my races woes in Brevari. They won't know the difference.

Ah, Centauri. Big things this summer. . .

I was only going from their size from the program.. don't have access to the RPG stuff.. so bow to your better knowledge.. forgot about the spell aspect :D

Please say they are being remodeled as I didn't think much of them, especially the Ka'Bin'Tak, the G'Vrahn was ok but got to agree better if minatures not as big....

I wonder if Matt has ever thought, the reason they sell so much EA, is because they treat EA better... is it a chicken and egg situation?!

I have often wondered that too........

Odly, I quite like the KaBinTak, but hated the G'Vrahn, although didn't understand the spikey bits on the kabintak, and it was too big, and I refuse to pay £30 for a model that will rarely get fielded

Thats another reason I would like to see a new additonal counter set done, its highly frustrating not being able to use the correct pieces and I am sure it would be quite simple to produce too

Psi Corp will be interesting as a dodgy EA force which can be used along side the EA forces.

Covert EA could be a good way to resolve the 'too many high end ships', as well - the surfiet of EA armageddon classes are due to shadowtech vessels (Omega-X/Nemesis) that belong under covert agency control, along with the coat-rack'o'doom (aka the Hunter)

Evolution of the Thunderbolt...hmmm....

I suppose the covert agency could also get a Shadowfury, which might be rather cool...no need for a different model, either....

Looking forwards to it.

Going back to the days of AoG (and concerning Space Marines with GW, etc.) the most iconic races and miniatures always outsell everything else by a long way and in this case EA have had by far the lion's share of screen time. Hell, I've even got more EA than anything else and I hardly play them simply because I want to recreate battles from the show and love the look of the miniatures. If these sorts of sales happen then they *need* a certain level of support to enable people to keep buying. It may be a bit of the case of chicken and the egg now but if you look far enough back, the egg (errr, the sales) came first.

On the new miniatures, I'm impressed, very impressed :) New miniatures of ships seen on screen and "gaps" filled in fleet lists are all very good things. Also, finally the Drakh Mothership miniature sorted (hopefully) - is this a resculpt of the same design or is it more like the one seen in the show?

Hey Matt, you might want to throw the Dilgar a bone before they start to revolt again.

Funny you should say that - we are working on some variants as I type, and we are looking at some options for Patrol level craft. However, I have heard a rumour of a Dilgar Armageddon model floating around. Now, I haven't seen it, I don't know anything about it - and I certainly wasn't the one that commissioned it! However, if it proves true and is up to scratch, the Dilgar might be getting everything they wanted!
About time too!!

Nah, only joking - good to hear about some of the stuff coming soon.

Just a thought, matt - did you take a butchers at some of the Dilgar variants I came up with a while ago - the thread is here. Might give you and the team some ideas for the future

Our Drakh ma---ER, The Centaurum is pleased!

I'm very interested to see how you pull off Ipsha Warglobes...How soon do you think we'll see preview photo's of some of this stuff? April? June maybe?

 What the Centauri are getting MORE ships?! They're second only to the EA in number of models. Really the Minbari, at least as a miniature line, is far behind the other races. It's not that they're hard to sculpt is it? Variants are good for play, but for the model collector, more ships are required. More Minbari, patrol and skirmish is WIDE open.
