Mongoose
I saw the movie, never heard of the cartoon and never bothered to read the book. I thought the movie was pretty mediocre but I heard aobut who was making the rules for SST and I had already formed an opinion of Mongoose based on Conan, so I wanted to check it out. Since getting the game, I've read the book twice and loved it. What about you?

Not sure realy ?

i must have heard mention of it, then searched out the website responsable,, and bam im here..

Im the same as Evil. I have no idea how the heck I got onto this forum. THe only reason I stayed though is that Dakka is kinda boring, and plus there are a bunch of other spammers to talk to

Well for me it was the film, andy chambers and seeing a Demo at Salute - that did it for me 3 minutes later and I was £65 pounds down after bying aditional boxed sets

JOY!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

At first I was like: Cool! SST as a TTG...

Saw the MI pre-production minis and went: Crappers... (What? 1.5-2 years ago? )

got my box a couple of days ago and I kindof like the MI, will do my best to make 'em look the way I want... (Halo-feel)

last option for me

naw, i keed i found out chambers was doing the rules, and i got interested, but i had to put the last one, its just to funny :D

Adore the book, I think the cgi series is pretty good although different from the book, and I thought the movie was utter crap. I also liked Mongoose's previous offerings, and when I heard about SST I chomped on it like a bass. I've "gone career" on this game, so congrats to Andy Chambers et al and keep it coming!!!

I am a dyed in the wool fan of the book. I've read it a number of times now.

The movie was okay but it didn't do the book justice at all. Besides some of the dialog was crap.

The cartoon is unwatchable (I tried and got through a couple of episodes but had to give up.)

I like Andy Chambers work on 40K but wouldn't buy a game simply because he was involved in it.

is this the same Andy Chambers that Works for Games workshop?
No Idea how I found this forum. but I'm really into Starship troopers. I pretty tired of Warhammer 40K.

Worked, you mean. Yes it is.

I read the book in high school (ages ago). Hated the movie, but kinda liked the CGI series.

I was into 40k (and still am, I guess), but was really looking for something that wasn't just a game of "put your army list together and play Yatzee."

The fact that Andy C. was involved was intriguing, plus all the build-up I saw on TMP made me want to check it out.

I got to play a demo game at Cold Wars last month, and I was hooked.

Daggan

None of the above, I was investigating similar games for my kids, heard a lot of negative stuff about GW and was pointed in the direction SST by my FLGS, played it at a demo by Sam Warble with my sons, they loved it, we bought it and I logged onto this site to find out more about.

Loved the book

Liked the film (for completely different reasons-gore and violence, Hooya!)

(The film is not the book, and vice further. They just have the same name, some characters have the same names, that is all the simmilarities.)

Heard rumours about the game...as you do...

Got more details from KODT...including that Andy Chambers was working on it. Already interested, I had to buy it just to see how good it was t this point.

Glad I did.
