Now, that is what happens when people go too far off topic. For the record, we won't have any name-calling or general rudeness on these forums and when it moves on to specific cultures, that is right out. If anyone wants to have a go at any particular culture, past or present, you are welcome to mail me direct. You'll find out that no culture is sin-free in its history. . .

Getting back to the point, however, we are just awaiting the arrival of Free Companies in our warehouse which, I am told, is imminent.

But at last this word war seems to have brought the sourcebook faster than expected.

As for the different cultures, Howard himself never privileged any of his creations. He just underlined how repetitive human history was: no civilization ever made progress without waging war. :idea:

And the "Free Companies" will tell us just that. But it is all the best as far as it stays a game. :lol:

The US warehouse and yes, it is coming from China (on the slowest boat, by the looks of it). It shouldn't be much longer though (and it looks very nice. . .).

then we still would have to wait. Why don't you try the Marco Polo Way with the books on mules following the Silken Road?
Or a better way for adventurers: China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Irak and then southward along the Benghazi road, to reach Morroco and then Gibraltar and from there northward.

Is Free Companies likely to be available at Dragonmeet ? I'm hoping to go , but will be sending a shopping list with friends if not , any likelihood of any other Conan exclusives there ?

Just out of curiosity, do the copies intended for the european market come directly from China or from the US ?

Why would they shoot at the books? But chances are they steal the mules. Exactly why Mongoose should then engage some mercenaries to ensure protection of the Free Companies.
Wouldn't it be a nice tale you tell later to your grand-children how you worked as an escort for the Mongoose sourcebooks to make sure that avid and impatient customers receive their outmost source of pleasure.
The Mongoose way of life makes us rediscover Adventures after all this dull RPG years. :wink:

Why would they steal the copies? Keep in mind its the usa stealing their oil, not the other way round.

Why? Simply because mules are the best means of transport in these mountains.

However I don't see any relationship between Conan RPG and oil stealing.

I know that many countries would have liked to stay in their old colonies to steal the ressources and the raw materials. Unfortunately when colonization began, there was not much use for oil and some countries never had the chance to have any. They had cocoa instead.

Also, anyone have the new Signs and Portents? Issue 16 with the Zingarian Code. Any thoughts on it?
