Dilgar war supplement

Could I find any good pictures of various LNAW characters and Jhazur on google so I could make a montage of heads... No.

So I went with the best ship picture there was of ships from that era. It is a great image.

sorry to be picky but the hyperion wasnt around in the Dligar war acording to one book but another says they were grrrrr

The 3 ships encountering the Minbari certainly didnt fire any laser. Could be due to some reasons other than not having them onboard though...

guys, come on, lets not be too picky, it's all made up anyway I am sure with a little tweak the hyperion could be firing pulse cannons or some such if it really offends you, but in game terms, the hyperion, with laser, was in service prior to the end of the Dilgar war

That's why I said there could be several reasons why they dont fire lasers at the ValenTha.

Some I could think of (I'm sure there are numerous other possibilities):

It takes longer to charge than pulse cannons, and Jankowski (well, maybe the rest of the fleet) just wanted to get the hell out of there fast.

As the Hyperions were less powerful, maybe they have to transfer power from the jump engine, which was fried by the Minbari scan.

For the Nova, well, why bother with laser if those big honking cannons were in range? :wink:

Have just made a first draft Dilgar era Centauri list:

changed quite a few of the ships - especially the capital ships - and removed most of the beams. Put the Maximus back to how I used to enjoy it - self indulgent but hey! Added my support ships and remade the Dargan into a strike ship for the era. Changed a couple of the other duties as well................Made a different Demos............as they seem to be around then


will see if it fits as a seperate post

They didn't but there are shots of Nova's firing lasers later on (just barely visible before they get blown away). Admittedly those are the same shots that include several Omega's in the background...

Just added ISD's to the EA ships so only the standard Hyperion and 3 others minus the Command were around the Dilgar war

I have a second one to paint so i better try to make that one better :roll:
Need to give the paint brush a rest for a couple of days just painted a load of Raiders, 8 Battle wagons, 6 Strike carriers, 4 Modified freighters and 1 Nova dreadnought to be exact.
I might even buy some before the sale ends all mine are scratch builds.

Then it'll be time to break out the camera, rolling two hobbies into one double the fun
