Burger said:Well to answer that would require typing half of the book upTarget said:What have the rest of races got as my book will take about a week to get to NZ?
Basically the other races got similar to the playtest material. Minbari get Web Of Death which is basically a weak version of the Escort trait on all ships... Shadows got Mind Scream which is a minor edge only against Psi Corps, and "merging" which is very limited applicability... ISA got high speed turns which is All Stop And Pivot without doing All Stop the previous turn and without losing dodge. So as you can see, very, very minor advantages that are "neat tricks" and will occasionally be useful, and really don't add much power to the fleet.
Centauri get squadrons of 6, extra range boost when used... at no cost! A MUCH bigger boost than any other race got!

I like the sound of that!

So I can blame you for the Paks not getting one too? ;-)
Not quite. Come About gives you an extra turn but you need to move 1" to get it. High Energy Turn effectively gives you 1" more after you've turned 180 degrees.KennyBoy said:To be honest fella, the CQ check for the "High speed turn" is the same as for "Come About" - which, for White Stars would result in the same thing!
Burger said:You are wrong Kenny...
See, told you i'm often wrong![]()
Come About adds 45 degrees to one turn or gives an extra turn. So you get a choice of 3/90 or 1/90+1/135.
If you can't get to where you want with that amount of turning... you're doing something wrong!
HET counts as an All Stop and Pivot. You can't move in the same turn (but you retain dodge).
So are you restricted to one gun, AS&P has that restriction doesn't it?
There are several positions you could attain using HET that you could not using Come About, though they are probably of quite limited usefulness. Can't think of many, but, as has been proven, thinking is not my strong point
So you are actually performing an AS&P special action this turn. All the rules of AS&P apply except the requirement to use All Stop in the previous turn. So only one weapon system. If a Crew Quality check of 9 or more is made, a White Star or White Star II does not have to perform an All Stop! Special Action before performing All Stop and Pivot! Effectively, the White Star has accomplished a vicious banking manoeuvre without killing its speed. It retains its Dodge trait while performing a High Energy Turn.

Burger said:That does make Come About far more effective in pretty much all circumstances. Better to fly around the back and shoot both weapons than do a little spin and only be able to fire one.
They always did, in 2e.Chandler said:Especially now they count as a hit against the minbari for lowering stealth! What's all that about?
