BIGatures!

In all honsety I LIKE the scale for most of the minis sure they may be a bit on the large size but they look fantastic :D Some fleets are better off with FA though (and the scale looks more right for some, most notably the Olympus and most Drazi ships)

I have to admit, loathe though I am, that a fleet of Drazi Sunhawk & Warbird variants does look a bit... underwhelming... :(

Yer i totally love the size of the ships.

Theyre G'Quans are still comfortably smaller than an ork buggy. But it still gives the feel of a klicklong ship.

Plus yes it is important that there is detail. Most games are played at 5 point raid or 5 poitn battle. (Most not all ^^) At those levels most fleets (well raiders are different) fill the tabkle quite nicely.

Same acccounts for the show. On Screen stuff happens within sight distance, even when they call out ranges like multiple hundred klicks.

It just looks better.

The miniature size is one reason I'm fine with using counters and am working on a solution for miniatures... My first protoype had some failings, but I am working on decals to fit on the bases that have lines drawn to show arcs and heading, along with unique numbers. Basically, making the base the marker and the mini secondary.

As a modeler first and gamer second, I admit the size of the mini's make them more like models than game pieces. I'd buy them for that reason alone, and maybe that's what Mongoose was thinking. But I still think for game mechanics, they're a little out of scale now.

I am a little afraid of the new Armageddon ships.

Snap where the Victory is longer than the last of the Babylon station, where in the prog it's the other way around as it should be
