I wish Margaret Weis Productions hadn't have gotten this,

I tell you you have to be carefull of what you put on the net, thieves are every where,

The Serenity system is potentially not a bad one and the book is very pretty, maybe the best looking RPG I have seen bar some small amount of second rate interior art. but it has huge problems with editing. It reeks of a product that was rushed out prematurely. Subsequently support has been slow – in part because of the need for everything to be approved but the absence of even errata is discouraging, especially in a book that needs it so badly. I rather suspect future support will be minimal as they have a new and potentially rather more lucrative cash cow in the form of BSG.

Some users are saying that they are going to have to buy the BSG book just to see what a finished version of the Serenity system would be like.

While I agree with most of that (btw go check out the last Lord of the Rings RPG if you want to see pretty)

I'm guessing if they can find the stuff to steal it will be a better game lol

My initial thought was that it would be awesome but then I began to think otherwise.

First of all there is already BSG RPG. Granted, I don't have a copy but still...

Secondly I'm not sure of the story potential in RPG aspect. Sure, the fleet is limping their way towards new territories but the setting still feels too much confined to me. I suppose it's just me...

Frack !

True, the commercial justification for a full-blown licensed BSG module for MGT doesn't quite add up.

I guess the burden would be then among us to produce an unofficial fan BSG sourcebook for MGT, there are Gurps and D20 fanworks floating around which could be an input.

So say we all.

Quite. You could even do something similar within the setting - an Aslan settler fleet heading off into the unknown with hostile clans in pursuit. You miss out on the paranoia of who is a Cylon but I never cared for that sort of thing anyway and having spies and traitors is a poor substitute and seems downright un-Aslan anyway. Human equivalents are doubtless plentiful as well.
