Armageddon Ships

Mongoose
Can someone tell me when the ships for the other races listed in the Armageddon book will be released. So far the EA, Minbari and Centauri have been released but what happened to the others listed in the book?

they all went back or re-sculpting, unfortunately, they didnt go to the top of the pile, and numerous other new designs have been coming out instead :-(
Shame, I liked the KaBinTak model

Soon is a relative term. Just because they have completed a single prototype or model for the purpose of putting a photo into 2e, doesn't mean they will have large numbers cast and ready for release.

Which prototype or model?

Any. As far as I know that plan is to include a photo of every single ship in 2e. That means a single model has to be made and painted. But just because they have one model to take a phot of, doesn't mean they have been produced. So even though there are dozens of new ships and fighters for 2e and there will be photos in the book, doesn't mean they will be released soon.

Agreed. This made Armageddon a wasted purchase.

I guess if you don't use the revised stealth rules, or the WS Fighters/Gunship/Carrier, or the split EA list, or the Nemesis, Adira, Delta V2, or the revised Shadows and Vorlons, or applied the errata to ships like the Whitestar, then Armageddon was a waste.

Greg, I know you are a very firm Fan of the Game and fond of Mongoose, but whilst yes, Armageddon did introduce those things, it wasn't really worth the money, which is what I think a lot of people felt. So maybe a touch less of the sarcasm...;-)

What a pain in the ass
quite agree, it isnt hard for a company to do all this in advance so on release its all ready, bit like a car company showing you the picture but you cant have the car

But how many games companies release 40 new products in one go and then nothing for months?

If Mongoose sculpted, cast and mass produced all of their new ships for a release in a single month, they would have a huge stock of figures that tied up both space and cash.

The new car analogy isn't a good one - a new car is a single new product. And I don't beleive there is no advertising done before a car is released.

a few more new products would have been nice though ;)
although most of them have been because of mould problems. admittedly armageddon was a bit thin on the ground for its cost, lots of pics and and repeats of EA ships but not many rules so I can see where people are coming from.
