The free airlocks don't usually show up in the Ship Summary. It is perfectly reasonable to add the freebies into the ship plans as part of the wiggle room in the RAW.

I would say there likely is a lower cap. Too small and it becomes useless. I’d say the 2 dton freebie is the smallest.

That said, @MongooseMatt said that is any one rule needed some thought about cutting, it was the calorie free airlock. It might vanish in the next High Guard update.

I'd be careful about not doing the ship design accounting.

It can get cheesy.
