Angle Screen task difficulty not defined.

High Guard, Weapons and Screens p10 defines the task without difficulty, skill Gunner, no characteristic, so assume Average difficulty.

Core book p66 states "Diffcult (10+) Gunner (screen) check (1D seconds, DEX)"

High Guard, The Ship's Computer, p2, software Screen Optimiser: "performs the Angle Screens (Gunner) action" automatically without any gunner involved, so whose skill is used? The Computers Expert system or the Gunner sitting at the console looking at the pretty lights as the computer runs the screens?

Note: Average(8+) difficulty plus a talented and skilled operator will render Meson and Nuclear weapons pointless.

Currently being playtested in several different manners.

Screens would not render weapons as useless if there was a penalty to re-using the same screen, in the same round (like PD). At that point, you'd need to use a Nuclear Dampener 3-5 times per incoming projectile to negate the damage. The screen weighs 20 tons. Meanwhile a 50-ton bay launches anywhere from 12 missiles to 3 torps, requiring 72D or 24D worth of screening to eliminate (assuming average rolls)...

Unlimited use of screens is one of the few advantages of large ships, so if battleships should be economically possible...

As I understood it you can't use a screen several timed against the same attack, but several times against different attacks. You can combine more than one screen devise against the same attack.

So if you have 5 Nuclear Damper devises you will intercept a fixed percent of all nukes, the question is just how you determine the fixed percentage.
