An idea for stealth.

Given the changes to Stealth in Armageddon, I was wondering what people's ideas would be to the following new special action.

All Power to Stealth Systems.
This can only be preformed by ships that have the Stealth trait, and is an automatic special action.
The ship increases it's stealth trait by 1, but have all their AD from each weapon halved.

The reason for this is to give Stealthed ships a bit moe variety, as now they are no ways other than to stay back (which let's face it doesn't give an enjoyable game for both players) to make Stealth useable. There has been a lot of people voicing their views on the new stealth and how they think it was nerfed, so could something like this be the answer?

Is'nt that called "Run Silent" :?
 
Run Silent is a completely useless SA the way it is at the moment. I've seen it used once in 2yrs and it didn't work anyway.
 
run silent doesn't let your ship do anything except hope it doesn't get hit if i recall. it's really not worthwhile at all in my opinion.


i like the general idea of the perposed action, but i'd rather see it reduse the ship's speed and turns as i view a reduction in AD to be more representitive of a loss of sccuracy than redirecting power.

Yes and No.

Run Silent is a Crew Quality Check of 10, and can add 1 to ships that have the Stealth trait and allow no shooting or turning and movement is at half. If the CQC is failed the restrictions are still applied. Witht he new Stealth rules I think this SA is too out dated. If a ship that successful preformes this action has an enemy ship move with in 8 " it has balanced out your Special action and it's proximity plus it can still fire and even do Concentrate All Firepower. Or even worse if the ship fails it's CQC it has it's stealth reduced by the enemy proximity and can't fire or turn and moves at half speed. Run Silent is now no longer valid (In my honest opinon)

I was going to sugest that instead, but then I thought it mighjt be a bit too much to have the ship be able to fire it's full potential as well as have it's stealth increased, how about 1 less AD and no turns?
