ACTA Tournament June 2011 - Warlords of Walsall!

On an extra plus note - I found a planet you brought down for a tourney and will bring up for you.

Must get some practice in now!

Oh dear lord, is it really only 2 weeks away?

I still have '2 months kinda' lodged in my head but with so much going on recently time has flown by.

Best make up some fleets and maybe do a little more than undercoat the models! (I know it's not 'required' but painting is one of the things I actually do pretty well so I should make an effort!)

Busy busy busy!

*BUMP*

Friendly reminder, the tournament is THIS coming saturday, I hope everyone is readyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

indeed - looking forward to it - just sorted out my fleets ....

Also be picking up some new Ships from Mark :)

Base coat about 80% done.

As per usual I'm having a lot of trouble sticking to the authentic colour scheme and instead going a bit bananas, quite happy with the overall effect though!

Actually the first thing that came into my head was a dying zebra, but that's not really a good omen... maybe a penguin with a good tan?

Black, various greys (going to very light grey, nearly white) and red, being highlighted up to orange then yellow.

Lmao . . . its okay; please dont stress about painting guys. So Hiff . . . shall we expect your imminent arrival? Or do you expect the little one to be landing?

Two days, now into the final planning, hopefully you'll all the like the "alternative" trophy for the winner :)

Ah, not stressing over it. Would just prefer to have them at least base coated so you can tell them apart! They're Vree so all look decidedly saucer shaped... so I hope there's lots of tea to go with the saucers ;)

That and the paint scheme is really growing on me now, though some of the surface detail being REALLY shallow is making painting the details a bit of a tricky sod. Still, the trusty 4/0 is getting the job done ;)

I would say the wee one won't arrive, but the missus is not in a good way, just taking things day by day, but to be honest, i think she would bully me to come along anyway ;-), on the off chance she really is bad, i'll drop charles a message as I have his number... somewhere

been finalising fleet selections. and must remember the sat nav tomorow, once I pull off the motorway it's all scary new terriatory.

Lol, it'll be awesome to have you along mate, though we understand that if the wee makes his appearance, you'll be initiating emergency protocols!lol

I'll PM you my mobile number, if you get lost, you can call me I pretty much know the way from junctions 11-6 . . . though if you get to 6 . . I'd say you'll have to enjoy birmingham lol

Hope to see you all tomorrow . . . in the region of 10ish :)

Also . . . just in case there's any confusion, the trophy belongs to the club, whom ever should win it tomorrow, will be its custodian until the next meeting, so please dont sell it or throw it away . . . :)

And if it aint me who wins it; then the next meeting shall be BLOODY soon!hahaha
