State of the Mongoose 2011

28mm metal or plastic minis for Traveller would also be great - crewmen/women, civvies, armed types, pirates, vacc suited figures, battle dressed marines, soldiers, Zhodani, Vargr, Aslan, Droyne - as mentioned above these are really needed and I suspect there is a reasonable market for them.

I'd prefer pre-painted plastic minis myself. I think minis are a great idea.

I am very happy to see that Mongoose is publishing Traveller and all the books they have published this far: In my first week, I bought 10 books, and I will spend Christmas reading through them.

I just hope to see more new products and less reprints of old GDW/DGP stuff.
Hopefully your Christmas reading will show you these are way more than just "reprints of old GDW/DGP stuff."

Far from it the "old GDW/DGP stuff" was merely a starting point from which MGP used to launch Traveller into the stratosphere and beyond!

I'd also like to see some 28-30mm Traveller minis...
Ouch...

Traveller minis started at the 15mm scale
then joined the 25mm/1" scale (25.4mm = 1 inch)

Enter the industry moving to 28mm for that little extra bit of detail

Now people are wanting 30mm? That's a total 20% increase in the scale (1 in = 5 ft). That's almost too big for use on a standard 1 inch grid map.

"Let the Giants loose among us!" *grin*

about Victory at Sea news..
Retail releases will see all major classes released for all major fleets (British, German, US, Japanese, French and Russian).

Russians have a major fleet and the Italians do not? As one with GHQ 1/2400 Italian naval miniatures (yay MG going with 1/2400 scale! :D ) I doth protest! :P

Sorry, sorry, sorry - how could I have missed our Italian friends?!?

Yes, the Italian fleet will indeed be included in the initial line up.
