2nd Edition counters

I realize that it may be too late to change the counters for the second edition of the rules, and there may not be any other reason to change them, but I would like to ask for a change in the counter lettering.

The current two color (red outlined in white) letter is very, very difficult to read. It would be much easier to read if it were just solid white. Also, the letters could be made a little larger if everything except the class name were dropped.

I couldn't agree more...the white outline is needed to make it stand out against the black/space background, but putting a color in the lettering at that point makes it harder to focus your eyes it seems.

I'd be for just white lettering on the background. and I'd be ok with just having a class name as well, ie "poseidon" rather than "poseidon supercarrier"

would also be awesome to make the counters scale with each other but that's probably asking way too much...!

My personal favourate is the shadow scout counter, with the damn near invisible scout on it. If it wasn't for the words you would think mongoose had printed some empty counters for the heck of it. :lol:

Scale with each other properly, or at least as much as the ship models do????

I mean Furies would be almost invisible in 'proper' scale.

Yes, I do! And it has to rotate as well!, Oh, and you´d have to be able to put Starfury counters into it of course.

i just use my revell B5 model, it looks as though they are similar scales! The fighters are anyway. Size of fighters and the cobra bays and front landing bay are about right. and the revell one rotates!

I have 2 of the Revell B5 stations, 2 of the normal Starfury and one of the limited edition Starfury.

All unassembled and unpainted, naturally :lol:

It took me ages to find one of the station and one of the normal starfuries because i was far too young at the time so have had too try and track them down, and you have 5 models in total and you havent even made them?!?!?

...i've calmed down now... but seriously you havent made any of them? have you even opened the boxes?

(any chance you are going to sell the collectors model any time soon?)

Well I got one of each of the station, the normal Fury and the liited Fury one year for my Birthday/Xmas. Then a couple of years later I was working in Holland at the ESA and saw onree of the station and normal Fury for about £10 each, so I bought those to take them home. When I moved to Bristol they got packed up and are still int he same box after 6 years :lol:

No I'm not selling any of them anytime, ever

LBH only buys these things just so he can say he owns them and to deny others. he gets no pleasure from them as they sit in a box gathering dust. when he dies stock prices in all wwargaming and model making companys will crash due to the huge influx of rare and limited items becoming available on ebay.

so are you going to make them at some point or when you die will they still be in their boxes?
