Whos the Alien Race

In season 5 the episode A view from the Gallery what is the name of that alien race that attacks B5. The gaim warned B5 of this advanced race but it did not give a name unless I just missed it.

They were never given a name. "Red helmets" is what most people call them.

Redhelm is often used to refer to them as well, but no name given in the show.

You could try and extrapolate about them based on the colour of the explosions their fighters make, but my chemistry isn't quite at that level :lol:

I always wanted to see these guys in ACTA as I really like dthe look of their space ships, and considering that their ships made it to the screen they deserve it, where other races suce as the gaim get a load of ships.

Yeah but the Gaim at least were a regular part of the show even though you didnt see their ships. Still Im all for more fleets, but would just like to extend my usual comment of: Lets get all the models for the ships that are already in the rules out on the shelves before looking ahead to the next big thing!

They are mentioned as the 'Redhelms' in the Legend of the Rangers RPG book and their identity is never explained.

If you are looking for speculation well the old AoG RPG said that the Minbari once encountered an interstellar race of nomadic scavengers that harvested resources from worlds before moving on and they were called the Wen'Dan Horde. They caused the Minbari quite a bit of grief but were ultimately beaten and the Horde scattered to other parts. So I always thought of those Redhelm aliens being members of the Wen'Dan Horde.

Perhaps after they do the Orieni Imperium but that would be an interesting thing to see since, as far as I know, they were not done by Agents of Gaming beyond being mentioned in Minbari history; personally I wish that history was detailed in the Minbari Federation RPG book but meh.

Thats what I remember about them too. Basically they were two empires about equal in power and rattling the sabres at each other (and the Drazi) though never quite getting to all out war. Through there was some orchestrated 'event' (by the Drazi?) that ended this and a massive war ensued in which both races were decimated in power, but the Centauri were slightly more victorious.
