I voted for River of Souls. No regular cast members appeared in it. What were they thinking?

Again I point out, was I the only one that saw Garibaldi and Zack in that thing.....

Yeah you were, especially the bit with Franklin too ;)

River of Souls for the lack of series regulars. I mean, they could have at least had Garibaldi or Zack in there!

I'm going to assume, for the sake of my sanity, that you two were being sarcastic!

Season five is the show's epilogue and "victory lap" for me.

It was very frustrating when I first watched it as it was broadcast. It seemed like I never got to see movement in the plot thread i was interested in!

Watching the DVDs, it comes off much better. There's a tendency to watch two or three episodes at a sitting, so I get to see a larger chunk of the overall story in one sitting.

My friends and I have noticed that this is true of many series, especially those that try to carry things over from episode to episode.
I will agree with that. Watching Season 5 when it was aired on TV it was so bad I just stopped watching it. Watching it 2-4 episodes a night on TV it certainly came out better. Still prefer Crusade to Season 5 though, just because of the potential of the Crusade plot.

Cheers

Sanity? Sanity is boring :p

And Franklin, Zack and Garibaldi may have been in it but it speaks volume of their involvment in the plot (or just the general 'lameness' of the movie in general) that I didnt really remember them being there except in a supporting cast role :(

Oh well. Its still the worst of the lot Ive seen. But I suspect that will change when I get round to subjecting myself to LoTR. Heeeeey I wonder if they chose that acronym deliberately....

Pilot - Well at least it set the scene, not brilliant, but okay (the improved music helps!)
In The Beggining - please could we not have had a more linked story rather than pasted bits and fillers. How many coincidences are we expected to believe?
River of Souls - VST (Very Star Trek) okay but ultimately pointless (but Ian McShane is cool, even if must Americans had never heard of him until Deadwood!)
Thirdspace - B5 defeats the aliens, other Vorlons couldn't - VST again.
A Call to arms - yawn, VST
Legend of the Rangers - I'm in the majority here I think. Carp!

I thought Martin Sheen was awesome in River of Souls, actually the only thing of worth in that movie was his acting.

Other than that, it was a below average episode.. Not movie material..

I voted for Thirdspace because that film was really bad and boring in my opinion.

Legend of the Rangers...good idea, bad realisation.

Just the weapons system...the weapons system is the crappiest thing that ever, EVER, ever occured in any B5 book, series or game. I mean...d'oh - what's this whole pseudo-fighting about. And the whole unnecessary shouting going along with that.

And for the captain...they should have taken someone else than a Baywatch-type of actor. Sheridan, Sinclair, even Lochley - those were cool captains one could have respect for.

It appeared to me that the main actors (the "weapon uber super mega specialist" and the wannabe-captain) didn't have a clue about Babylon 5. Just the Drazi characters and the main Minbari knew how to play in a B5 setting.
