When will we see games master's handbook?

When will it be published, or the preview?. Will it be delayed one month again? I am afraid :)

When I ordered direct last week, I was told they hope to print next week (w/c 21st), so it is on the calendar, but still not actual hard copy: here's hoping!

It is ready to go. I do not know where in the print queue it is, though.

It won't be long know, in any case.

As for the preview, I will get that done over the weekend so it will be up early next week.

Of course that still means it will be about a month and a half before it actualy arives here on the west coast of the USA. I would have thought stagecoaches where out for mail delivery, but apperently Mongoose believes in traditional methods.

The books will be in the US in less than two weeks - talk to your retailer!

I do, we dont even have Blood of Orlanth yet.

I should not blame Mongoose as once it leaves your doors, you have no control over it. But complaining about a nameless distributer is not very fun.

It won't be in the shops here in the UK until Wednesday - Mongoose have a long history of not using "Release Date" to mean "available to buy in shops"

We used to but, in those days, it tended to mean 'available to buy in shops in the US'. Which does not help the rest of the world (and, indeed, the larger part of the market) very much. Now we announce when it is leaving our doors, with a prediction on when you will start seeing it in stores (usually 1-2 weeks after our announcement).

Should be printing this weekend!

"This wewkend" was January 21. Is the book printed, finally? It is still in preorder.

Well, there is more to producing a book than just printing it!

However, the web site is as it is right now, simply because I have not had a chance to change it. The GM's Handbook begins shipping tomorrow, with mail orders going out on Monday.

Another storming display by Royal Mail, :D
GM Handbook franked in Swindon 29th, delivered today (30th). 118 pages (not as I think I saw on one of the listings 104). Sections as advertised, on GM'ing MRQ, expansions and explanations on Characters, Skills, Magic, Combat and Adventuring, section on Towns And Cities, but it's only 11 pages, so I am reserving judgement until I have read it thoroughly, and an Index (also an advert for Dara Happa Stirs).
Layout seems to show that Mongoose has learned from earlier mistakes. As with B.O.O., binding looks OK, the text is legible, and the gutters adequate to ensure text is visible. In black and white throughout, once again the illustrations are a little too dark for my personal taste. The pregenerated NPC's will be useful for those of us infected with incurable laziness. Those with orders should look forward to it landing on your mat.

I got my copy of the RuneQuest Game Master's Handbook this morning. I have to say it's a good book. Glanced through it, nice material. I noticed quite a few new additoions to the rules, including a handful of advanced skills. Liked the introduction where it explains the different types of settings. Not many GM books cover that sort of area. I'm glad the book isn't just a list of tables and charts, which you find with most GM guides. Only negative point: the cover of my copy is warped, an issue that was supposed to be addressed months ago! Overall, a good book.
