What settings or books for spacequest would you like to see?

Mage

Mongoose
Well, what do you want to see? I for one would like:

Monster Manual
I want a generic sci fi monster manual. Everything sci fi out there seems to be star wars, B5, STP, or *shudders* cyberpunk. I have no problem with cyberpunk, just the world. Licensed stuff is cool, but there are no real good generic sci fi settings out there, and I love percentile systems.
I must also point out that some of the settings should have their own unique monster books, or sections, like Arachnids in starship troopers.
They can easily be used in other game, but should obviously be put where they belong. Also, i want to see some sort of non-sentient creatures akin to monsters to fight in B5. I know that is not exactly fitting with the unvierse, but sometimes it is hard to keep track so f NPCs, and a Kick down the door session in B5 would be nice.

ACP RPG
Also, I know the licensing issue with AVP, but a small one to three book release of an AVP rpg would be excellent.

DUNE
Also, I remember there being quite a debate on dune. This will probably never happen for a while with the current holders of the license having no intersest in RPGs, butit would be nice if mongoose said something or commented on the subject.

Anybody have any info, or want to elaborate on the above?

David Weber's Honor Harrington Universe
Elizabeth Moon's Herris Serrano Universe
David Weber's Path of the Fury Universe
Allen L Wold's Jewels of the Dragon Universe

I know the license was not suitable for a minis game, but would a ROG setting book be possible (for AVP)?

Definitly a Monster Manual you could compile a variety of creature from every Sci Fi Era.

Dr. Who : Daleks and Cybermen to name a couple.

BSG Would be good too, except it would really be Cylons and 12 different kinds plus the crome jobs!

Star Trek: I am sure there is a license issue there but an endless amount of creatures.

I am all about ship deck plans as well. Traveler use to have great deck plans for ships.

I am also up for a good equipment book covering multiple eras just not a book of weapons, but trade goods currencies, vehicles, and the like.

Just my .02

I would rather like to see a big starship or general hardware book with a whole slew of different technologies available. The idea is not that you can use everything at once but rather you can pick and choose which technologies you want to use when creating or implementing a system.
So you might have sections on materials (hulls), drive systems, FTL systems (and other ways of coping with the distances involved such as star gates), communications, power generation, weapons, computers and so on.
The closest examples I can think of would be the Technical Architecture books for Traveller and GURPS Vehicles or Greg Porter's Guns, Guns, Guns and Vehicle Design System books.
It would also be nice if this thing was metric but I fear that might put off the American market – though of course Traveller uses the metric system. I am not saying that metric is more science fiction or anything just that it is easier to work with as it was designed while the imperial system just happened.
If you are looking for authors whoever wrote the starship background section of the Serenity book did a very good job of it or there is Mr. Gearhead himself Greg Porter.
