Thats what happens when you move your ships too close to a strong gravity well.

Imperial Gaurdsmen and Arachnid warriors....dozens and dozens of both....What I actually finished was a Space Wolves Long Fang, two Guardsmen and a half dozen 15mm figures.

8 cap troopers from three different squads, two 15mm SWAT officers, three Imperial guard and a skinnie raider! Woot!

I found a trick some of you may like.
I take 10 figures, line them up and ask someone else to pick a number between 1-10. Whichever model in the line up is picked, I focus on until it's done, then rinse and repeat.

This method may lead to never getting a full unit done in any sort of timely manner, but it'll get higher numbers done. As a model is chosen, refill the gap with another one from a pool of the squads/fleets/units/etc that you deem most necessary to complete soon.

However, doing this I've managed to finish 54 models this month, 34 of them in the last 11 days while I've been off work and running marathons of every show and movie series I own. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to pump another 7 or 8 since I'm getting into more stuff that I started, but never finished months ago, rather than stuff that's freshly primed or primed+1 colour(usually the armour's colour.)

A lot of time the BSG fleet are lay painted black in a box... but last WE I started to finished them.
A last 3 ripped "Galactica" battlestars and the fleet is through paint

Agreed - if you put them on a black board and drop the light a couple of notches to make the stands disappear (or do a bit of work with Photoshop :)), they'll look as if they're a "real" fleet on film or TV.

If´god some closeup shots, but they only partially right acute and a little to brightly too.

- old HVY battlestar and new border patrol ship

img0634o.jpg

- old (ripped) and new railgun battlestars (Tiger class)

img0633q.jpg

- old (ripped) Gunstar and new battlestar (same hull like MK II Tiger^)

- Pegasus class and my command battlestar Atlantia (How many fighter squads that one may have? Galactica got 4, Pegasus 6 and this one? There are one aditional Hangar deck under the two you can see on eatch side (subtotal 6 Hangar-Decks! (verry long Hangar Decks!!!))

Thanks G'Quan all look great in detail.

Excellent work.

Sorry can't help on your Atlantia, been a while since I looked at the fan made BSG rules and don't remember seeing stats for this mini but guess it depends on its priority level v pegasus. Three times the launch/landing bays implies three times the launch capability although the ships isn't even close to three times the volume of the Pegasus either, ok not a straight relatonship but 18 flights sounds too much to me. Really depends on how the ship plays v its priority level coupled with the rest of its stats of course.

In the absence of pre made stats I would probably start from 12 flights and see how it goes.

Time for a bit of thread necromancy, but this one is worth resurrecting. :)

Here's my Asimov class liner: forward view, aft view.

The original model has almost no engine detail, just two flush-mounted exhausts. There definitely should be something more there, but I couldn't find any decent screen shots of the aft view, so in the absence of anything better I used the rotating model from B5 Scrolls as a reference. Four exhausts were cut from wooden dowelling with the nozzles carved out, and whatever that is between the nozzles was also made from dowelling with the ends filed into squares. There are also four small boxes made from balsa. Additional piping detail was made from narrow steel rod.

Hiigaran ships form homeworld 2, got to get to work making more decals for them this week, hopefully finish the fleet over Xmas with a bit of luck

Not that I am aware of - i'm just using them in place of Earth Alliance ships though, no change of stats etc, I just swapped the images on to new play cards.

Oppo intends to use Narn in place of Vaygr

Test scheme for my (hopefully) soon-to-arrive Federation ships. Detailing's a bit rough on this one so it'll need redoing, mostly just using this for testing out hull colour/shading and nacelle caps. Not a bad match for the hull I think, but the nacelles need to be a bit lighter.
