I downloaded the updated version of this from DRTPG today, and looking at it, the errors I noted last year are still present:

So I was reading through the Traveller Core Rulebook (the most recent release, downloaded through DriveThruRPG), and upon reading through to the Weapons/Slug Throwers section (pages 126-128), I noticed that there is no text description for the Assault Rifle. It looks like it got missed in the transition to the new layout, as there IS one for it in the 2016/Starter Set version.
A couple more minor things I found of note:
On the deplanes of the System Defense Boat on page 201, the three staterooms in the center of the ship are missing their bunks.
And nowhere in the book is a note of the fact that standard spacecraft designs cost 10% less than the basic calculated price. (The Common Spacecraft chapter intro on page 188 would likely be the best place to add it, as there's already a paragraph noting that the designs in the book ARE standard designs.)
Can you make a note of this for the _next_ update, please?

Rather than starting a new thread in the general subforum, why not bump your own thread on the same topic in the Feedback subforum? https://forum.mongoosepublishing.co...rata-still-present-in-12-2024-release.125190/ That way, if one of the Mongoose staff is looking for CRB errata, they'll find it in one place rather than scattered across various threads and subforums.

A quick note - we made the decision not to have descriptions for very common items. Like, we don't need to explain what an assault rifle is, and it just consumes space with something people are unlikely to read...

Especially since the common definition is political rather than technical in nature and would only serve to divide consumers.

But Traveller material has always had (an in-universe, at least) definitional distinction for the term going back to CT:Book4 - Mercenary that was fleshed out somewhat in T5.

Autorifle = Full-automatic Rifle otherwise equivalent to the semi-automatic Main Battle Rifle in full bore. Also called Battle Rifle (semi- or full- auto versions). Full-Auto Examples: Browning BAR, M-14. (T5: Range 500m).

Assault Rifle = Lighter & less cumbersome than the auto-rifle, full-automatic with smaller bore and designed for closer range fighting typical of autofire, with better recoil control. Examples: M-16, AK-47. (T5: Range 400m).

Combat Rifle = Light & compact rapid-fire rifle (often bullpup or otherwise short profile) often using special propellant-charge and/or ammo to increase penetration or damage, designed for close-quarters combat. Often combined with secondary underbarrel rail attachment system or integral secondary system. Examples: ACR. (T5: Range 300m).

Note that the term "Assault Weapon" as opposed to "Assault Rifle" really is a bogus & nebulous politics term.
