WHAT DO YOU DO?

I'm a research VP with "the world's leading provider of research and analysis about the global information technology industry", specializing in digital identity management and other information security stuff.

I'm 44, married (17 years), twin sons (14yo) - who are both into RPGs! I've been playing (A)D&D, Bushido, etc. since 1979. I've got a Ph.D. in theoretical physics.

I play RPGs (of course) and collect & paint miniatures. I read a lot, mostly sf & fantasy (natch), also hard-boiled detective fiction (Chandler & Hammett); history, heraldry, typography, popular science, ... I listen to a lot of music: rock, electronica, orchestral, ... (7615 tunes on my iPod). I cycle for fun (but not often enough for fitness!).

Ciao,
Ant

Wow, very cool. I learned 1 & 1/2 years of the German language when I was in high school after 4 years of Spanish, nowadays allI can say is Ich hatte vergessen wie sagt man das in both langauges
That's about what I remember from French ("Je ne comprends rien, je ne parle pas le Francais"); my Spanish doesn't even go that far...
Back to topic: I'm doing customer service by phone, for subscribers of newspapers/magazines. That's what I get for not having learned a trade.
I'm a 36-year old Trek/SW/LotR nerd, and a skinny couch potato too ("No sports", you know).
When I was younger, I wanted to study English literature and become a writer, but that dream is dead and buried. All that's left is playing role-playing games.

I'm a graphic designer with a specialitation in illustration.

I love to draw and I work in a school doing all the things design related (illustrations for the kids, animations, suff like that). Lucky me, I work from 7 am to 2 pm.

I also have a comic workshop in the afternoon and I try to do some freelance, developing sites for the web and that kind of stuff.

I love comics, videogames, rpg's and most things related to fantasy. I love to read and I love to draw, I really want to do a comic by myself, but I need to work some ideas.

babelfish is both a blessing and a curse. It allows me to read the Kémi website and get excited about the forthcoming game - but without it I'd never have been disappointed by the realization that there's unlikely to be a English-language version of Kémi.

Alas, we still look for benevolent people wishing to translate the novel, the setting and the game for free... If the sales are good and if Spielberg is interested with the project, we may accept the possibility to pay someone for the job.

I'm 34 and I work at GE Healthcare as an Electronics Design Engineer. RPGs have been a hobby of mine for the last 20 years now and I don't see me quitting any time soon :D

Sheesh, all of you successful people make me feel so depressed. Here I am looking down the gun at my 46 birthday and all I've got to show for myself is a collection of over 100 RPGs and some 400 other games (not computer games, thanks to Crom!). I've never been to college but wish I had had the gumption to do so. I get up in the morning at 4am, drive 40 miles to my job (I start about 5:30am), order parts for school buses (we have a fleet of 355), take a 3 hour lunch break, order more parts, do some paperwork, and leave for home at 5pm. If I don't do any shopping, I sometimes get home by 6pm. That gives me about an hour or two before I have to go to bed. I've been doing that for the last 5 years. I have no gaming group except my wonderful wife and two children. But that's life, and why I love reading and playing games, so much more interesting.
But don't take this all wrong, I have my own website!

I am a I.T. specialist working for IBM on the UK governments projects for the Department of the Enviroment, food and rural affairs (defra) where I do the support for the databases that control things like cattle movement(BSE), sheep(FMD), goats and now Poultry. In my spare time I am involved in free software and linux and I play rpgs. Married no kids 3 dogs.

Dang, I thought I replied to this thread earlier but must have confused it with another forum.

I'm 36yrs old and married with no kids (unless you count two spastic Siberian Huskies). I've been counseling kids in one form or another for the past 15 yrs. Currently, I work at a large high school in Des Moines, Iowa. My title is Juvenile Court School Liaison. Basically, I try to help delinquent kids stay in school and stay out of trouble.

I've been role-playing since '81 and a fan of Conan since '80. I've been playing regularly (first time in 10yrs :D ) with an awesome and diverse group of players ranging in age from late 20s to early 40s. We've been gaming in Hyboria for the past year using Rolemaster for our system. I love the stuff Mongoose has been publishing, but I'm not a fan of D20.

Greetings to all!

During the day I am a technical services coordinator at an Art School, which means I operate a and run a workshop. Wood work, metal work, machining, welding, you name it.

I also have my own figure sculpting business, 25/8mm upwards. Freelance work and few personal projects.

Sounds wonderful. Perhaps, if you have made any Conan-related minis, you could post a few pix of your creations. 8)

(This is one marketing area that Mongoose should consider in the future. I would bet anything that Conan minis would sell rapidly.)

I don't use them in my campaign, but a couple would look nice with my collection of Conan books!

I'm a few weeks from my 32nd birthday. I've been married for about 11-1/2 years and we have two kids, a 3yo daughter and an 8mo old son.

Since after high school I have been working in the real estate appraisal field and have had my own business since the mid-90s.

The fraction of my time which is mine alone is shared by wargaming (currenly stuck on Warmachine in a big way), role playing, watching movies, Xbox, reading just about anything, and shooting/hobby gunsmithing.
