Got mine last night and have given it a real quick read, I really like it! Thanks I just had one question...and it really is about the art. On page 179 what race is that supposed to represent standing next to the Vargr? I thought it was too small for an Aslan but...

Anyways love the book!

I got my Pre-Order in the mail yesturday, and read it over. It is a pretty good book, and I highly advise everyone to get a copy.

Mine just arrived at the local game store. Do I want to go get it, or make Christmas cookies? Life is so full of difficult choices.
Make the cookies so you can eat them while reading about the Vargr! :D

I picked it up today, but because of cookie making I still haven't really had a chance to do more than just flip through it quickly.

Overall, it looks good. Based on layout and art alone, I'd give it a 8 out of 10.

Good to see a man who's got his priorities right! 8)

Hey, making my late mom's Xmas cookies and drinking hot-buttered rum, can't get much better than that!
:D 8)
Here's to ya, mom. You made some great cookies.

How do you make "hot buttered rum"? Seriously. I have rum, and I have butter. So what is the recipe?
Quick trawl of the Interweb reveals (from www.foodnetwork.com):

Ingredients
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
2 cups light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
Pinch ground cloves
Pinch salt
Bottle dark rum
Boiling water

Directions
In a bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Refrigerate until almost firm. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the butter mixture into 12 small mugs. Pour about 3 ounces of rum into each mug (filling about halfway). Top with boiling water (to fill the remaining half), stir well, and serve immediately.

Well that's double-plus fun then.

Mind you, looking at the ingredients... if you're diabetic or have a coronary condition it might kill you.

Yeah, I was looking at that.

Darn - only got Jamaica 'light' Rum :(

Hmmm... but it is good stuff :D Whoa - that's 80 proof of pretty smooth...

Oh well - guess I don't have a full bottle any mores any how. How'd we get to drink recipices again from MGT... :?

Any rum will do in a pinch. My personal favorite is Cruzan Blackstrap. It has a molasses flavor that really goes well with some types of drinks, hot-buttered rum in particular. Also, it is worth noting some variations on the theme include cider, or even replace the water with hot cider.

As for Vargr, still haven't had a chance to sit down and read it. But I have flipped through it some more, and I really really like the art in the chargen section! Aces!

It that "cider" or "apple juice"? I ask as some hot drinks (such as Pimms No. 3 Cup recommend hot apple juice) but hot cider sounds an excellent idea.

I found out my FLGS got it in yesterday AND I got my Christmas bonus today. I'm picking up it and the Trojan Reaches map pack tomorrow. I can't wait; from the brief look I had it looks awesome.
